What originally drew me to this channel was Michael's story telling - particularly the on-location stories. The way the story is selected and presented, the way the narrative is written and delivered, etc. to me is what separated this channel from sooo many others. Michael and Justin Root (another KZbinr in your neck of the woods) to me are the best story tellers on KZbin. Thank you so much for returning to this storytelling!

I admire Michael's respect for those involved in tragic events. And his well spoken, gentle Candace and care. His discussion of true crime is about telling truth and respect to the victims. And not glorifying the tragedy or violence that occurred. I appreciate that he feels for people and what has happened

I agree with so many commenters on here. It is Michael's story telling, and the respectful way they both treat these kind of stories. Oh my gosh. That poor little girl! She lived and had to watch all of that happen! Especially dressed as Santa. It’s unbelievable to me how someone could do this. I hope that little girl who’s grown up now got any help she needed. Would have been nice to see this monster brought to justice but he took it upon himself to see that didn’t happen. I can’t believe I didn’t hear of this story! I usually am on top of hearing these true crime stories. This poor family. Hope they are resting in peace. Thank you for sharing this story. This is truly a very sad story Michael, I heard about this story from Mr. Nightmares KZbin channel and all I can say is that Bruce Pardo took the cowardly way out so he wouldn't be punished for his crimes, I wished that he was caught before he self-deleted himself. RIP Ortega Family and thank you Michael for this video, you and you wife are wonderful storytellers. Now I know that this is off topic, but would you and your wife be interested in looking up Christmas slasher film locations? I always wanted to see you two cover Silent Night, Dealy Night (1984) or Christmas Evil (1980) filing locations. Happy Halloween and Merry Christmas early to both of you.

A heart wrenching story this was, especially close to the holidays. I think Steve(The Graveyard Channel) did a video on this story, he too went to where the tragedy occurred and went to the Cemetery to pay his respects. This had to have been extremely hard for you and Jessica to do this video, I could hear it in your voice and see in on Jessica's face how difficult it was. I don't think I could ever do a video like this without getting emotional or whatnot(if I ever start doing videos that is), a great but somber video. Much respect for you and Jessica
