That "The New York YANKEES!!" is one of my favorite moments in the entire series. The hat turn, the pause before Yankees, the door slam. The presentation is key, and Jason Alexander nailed it. George at his absolute peak!

Fun fact- Larry David is the voice of George Steinbrenner! They fired the actual Steinbrenner because he wasn't a good actor and used David's voice instead. It was the perfect match

Song Steinbrenner can’t get out of his head -“heartbreaker, love taker, Brubaker run this prison like a man” is of course “Heartbreaker” by Pat Benatar, with the improv line referring to the 1980 Robert Redford prison movie “Brubaker”.

@@roguesheep3083 I took a bunch of my shoes into a local cobbler to have them repaired a few years ago. They are not only increasingly more difficult to find, but they are ridiculously pricey. Next time I go in, I should sing that verse about getting my shoes repaired for free, but I'll probably just get thrown out of the shop and into the arms of a cop.
