I think that if you want to practice, the best place to start is the Gallery of Magick books. I've had startlingly good results with all of them.

Sir.Can you recommend other grimoires for the working of the art in this modern day.So Far I have several books of manuscripts.I have the one in the video,The sworn book of honorious and the book of oberion.These three have extensive commentary from Joseph peterson.I stumbled across his work as recommendation from another in the art.I also have a book or two from claude lecouteux.Also by recommendation.also can I ask In your expertise is this clavis by joseph peterson the most complete and accurate version of solomonic magic available to purchase by the public? If Im being honest I did buy this clavis based soley on the presentation.It caught my eye as it stood out due to the way it is presented.I immediately took to the colours and its style which photos much of the manuscript. The other reason I purchased it was because of the different seals or talismans which are not in the version I had at the time.(The one by S.L. Mathers) also I noticed that the script used for the talismans is written in a combination of Latin and in some places Hebrew. For me this was an Important factor to consider. However that red cover was a very nice surprise. I do have to say that I have great admiration for Mr. Peterson and his work.He seems to be very thorough and In dealing with an art such as this that is an excellent quality to have. After checking out those recommendations I can see myself getting that full colour version with the commentary from Dr.Skinner Just for the sake of completion 😂. I was also recommended to get a copy of Dr.Skinners book on the magical tables by a reliable source,and I have heard his name a few times in good standing. I also need to procure a copy of the five books of mystery by John Dee and Edward Kelley now that I remember. Thank you for your time and for those recommendations Ill be sure to check them out.

The picatrix is archaic like that, mean towards animals and even humans lol. It has rituals for cutting off peoples and animals heads for rituals.

I'm afraid I don't know of a Joseph Wiser edition. Are you talking about the Key of Solomon the King by Liddell and Mathers with a foreword by Joseph Peterson published by Weiser Books (paperback)? Well, I'm sure that's very good as well... But I don't own it, so it's hard for me to say.

Hi Denis, I went to search for the info and I think that for the Lemegeton (Lesser Key) the Goetia of Dr Rudd recently edited by Dr Stephen Skinner it is a better selection. But after reviewing your video and seeing The Clavis or Key to Unlock the Mysteries of Magic of Dr. Skinner is hard to decide. What is your opinion about both?

Yes it's completely possible to work without sacrificing animals. There's two demons in the Goetia that require animal sacrifice, and I think demons in general will be more likely to require a sacrifice. I don't recall any mention of sacrifices being mentioned in the Lucidarium/Heptameron though, and the incenses are very simple and don't require gross animal products. If you're interested in working with angels instead I think most, if not all angel magic is done without sacrificing animals.

Yes. The Lesser Key of Solomon is also known as the Lemegeton, a compendium of 5 grimoires centered mostly around the goetic spirits (plus a couple that dubiously claim to be angelic). The Greater Key of Solomon, or Clavis, or Key to the Magic of Solomon, is about making planetary talismans, though some editions contain experiments that recall some of the spirits mentioned in the Lesser Key.

@@brandoncallaway8835 I was able to find Joseph Peterson's allusion to 4 missing operations (of which three are love operations, including the operation 'of the fruit'), but I don't see them in Hockley's edition here either. I might be wrong, but I had a good look. The omission seems to be when compared to the Colorno manuscripts (french), which seem to be the MSs Mathers was translating from.

No offense to mathers, but it seems as though he could have possibly tried to make it more mysterious by saying that it was omitted as a precaution, because it's dangerous?!? Foolish Fish I’m not even sure myself. I’m having a lot of confusion trying to understand what The Key of Soloman has anything to do with Talismans as I’ve been reading the Picatrix. I want to understand how they interrelate. Is one based off of the other?

@@jayrockhammer The Picatrix (13th century) was most likely an inspiration for the Key of Solomon (14th or even 15th century). And yes, the Clavis is mainly about talismans, though the talismanic bulk is followed by a couple of experiments calling spirits.

First make sure that your intentions are pure and mainly not for the sake of doing magic , something no one has done or seeing with their real eyes except for the miracles of Jesus which was actually magic he learned in Egypt. What would you after you meet your guardian angel? Now that you know magic what will you do ? I doubt it’ll be to save the world and use magic so freely for everyone to see, that will mean your seeking attention ? Idk.. but intention comes first before any other step into the occult is taken. This book is excellent. The only one thing I have to object about this version, is that it doesn't provide the 'Seals of Solomon' (as I had hoped for). Like the ones in "The Key of Solomon the King (Dover Occult) - by S.L. MacGregor". With the exception of mentioning a handful of Talismans and Spirit Seals within the Ebenezer Sibley and Fredrick Hockley version, by Peterson. And on the side note, Peterson could have done more to this version. By hiring a graphic designer or artist to painstakingly recreate images (of the talismans and seals of the spirits) that is found in the Sibley and Hockley edition [without going through an extraneous process to scan the "archaic" document then add on commentaries in later pages] to free up space. While making use of other resources and materials that is found in the MacGregor edition and compile it into this one book.

The Candid Counterbalance One can perform them but in doing see they must not show fear when doing so because it takes a certain concentration which that’s where meditation comes in handy, plus they must not pursue lust, if they do then they’ll attract demons but I’m talking mostly if you wanna do good magic. Otherwise most of the things filled in everyone’s head is hate, greed, and lust. Everyone can do it but having those things you will invoke fear in you because you won’t be able to handle it. A simple spirit in someone’s home is simple enough to scare someone, imagine this other dimension?...

A _pentagon_ has 5 sides. A pantacle (also sometimes traditionally spelled "pentacle") is not related to the Greek 'pente' (five) but 'pan' (all). A Pantacle is an object that represents totality. It may or may not not feature a pentagram (5 pointed star) or a pentagon (5 sided figure).
