@@FrankRizzo-d1c What's your statistic then? Stop projecting yourself onto another people, especially when you don't even have the same struggles as them. Youre not even Filipino nor have lived in the Philippines, and your inputs doesn't even add anything about the country. Filipinos have objectively better working culture than Americans-as proven by amount of Filipinos workers international diaspora. I don't see your point in that. I can't even phatom how can you compare Philippines with USA in terms of socioeconomic status. Why do you think people from developing countries find opportunities in developed country? Geez... I wonder why... It is not a "sympathy card", when people can't even earn a livable wage. Please humor me more with working 2 or 3 jobs in Philippines to get out of poverty as part of "culture". Filipinos have their own fair share of toxic habits, but that doesn't make poverty any less of a problem. Metaphorically, you can't solve homelessness through encouraging homeless people to buy a house. Either way, I couldn't even see the relevance of this discussion from my main reply.

I've lived in Bayawan and I can say na hindi ito exaggeration in anyway. Kahit state university nila malaki at malinis. Good job, Bayawan

This waste management deserves to be featured in the upstream media and be implemented country wide. During that time, part of their plans as well was also to continue their information drive on reducing waste on the household level, even including their students in the public schools. Thanks for this FEATR. Actually aside from the cleanest city, they put priority on Organic Agriculture and even have local policies and programs in place supporting organic farmers and encouraging those who are not yet into organic. We also came across art shops beside their beach converting drift wood into art and selling them. Even ART is evident in the city. Also, I know they have one of the strongest Civic Society groups in the country. Andaming good practices that all of us can learn and realize na posible pala mangyari ang mga to sa Pilipinas! One thing also noticeable is how proud the Bayawanons are of their city and even their leaders!

This is something that all LGUs and its people especially the large cities should ponder and hopefully, apply. Kaso I think mahihirapan yung iba kasi they will be needing a large area like what they have for the cells or kung saan nilalagay ang mga basura. Some might already have but I also think it needs to be improved o maging katulad sa Bayawan. Kudos to all the people involved in maintaining the systematic process of waste management and the obedient people adhering to their LGU's ordinance. More power and God bless! Thanks for sharing this on your channel. This is very encouraging. 💖💖💖

Salamat kaayo, FEATR team! Someone dear to me helped out with this LGU's solid waste management program several years ago so it's kinda surreal for me to find this video. I was too little to understand the scope of what they were contributing to back then yet I've always been in awe of all the hard work they do to help others. Bayawan's shared efforts and hard work put together continues to pay off. It's beautiful. When both their leadership and their community is able to commit to keeping their homes clean, the results speak for itself. We hope that more communities in our neighboring regions as well as across the world are encouraged to act likewise puhon o7

You know this is really close to my heart because honestly, my heart aches with every plastic i throw in the garbage, knowing it is harming not only the environment and wildlife but ultimately, US. I do really wish that manufacturers who use plastic packagings (not just here but all over the world) will come up with more biodegradable packagings for their products. Coz we consumers don't really have much of a choice when buying stuff. Another option for them is to create refilling machines where customers will need to bring their own reusable containers. This can be applied to most products like shampoos, detergents, etc. and really, even food like chips, etc. Not only will this help with our garbage problem but this will also lessen the costs of the products since manufacturers won't have to add the packaging to the costs.

You are an irresponsible shopper. One buys on the basis of quality, quantity, price, and packaging.
@moondustgirl2132
@moondustgirl2132 20 күн бұрын
@@estebancorral5151 What in the world is irresponsible about that? If you already know the product and have been buying it for years, why would you care about the packaging still? Plus i am not saying to completely do away with the packaged products. I am advocating for an ALTERNATIVE to it. So there would still be packaged ones available, but for those who already know the product and want to be environmentally responsible, and on top of that, save some money too, they can opt for the refill. In this way, there would be less plastic packagings produced, hence less plastic pollution which harms the environment, wildlife and us. Maybe do some research on the dangers of plastic pollution (like inhaling and ingesting microplastics) so you would be more informed.

Now why doesn't every city in the Philippines recruit and hire this kind of civil servant? Because Pinoys don't care? Because Pinoys aren't aware? We create our own problems so for sure, we can solve them, too. It just takes will and commitment. Bravo Kerwin Martinez and Bayawan citizens, may other waste managers and cities follow suit.

Good job Bayawan City for being a role model in the country for cleanliness. I want to live in a very clean city or town. Just an unsolicited advice for the Filipinos: do not reelect mayors and barangay captains whose jurisdictions are untidy. Cleanliness of the cities and towns should be one of their top priorities.
