The optic nerve and the nerve that triggers a sneeze are physically close to each other. It's thought that when you look at a bright light, some of the electrical energy in the optic nerve spills over to the sneeze nerve to complete the sneeze

10:42 It is scientifically proven, but its not universal. It's a one in five type of people kind of deal. As for why, it's basically a minor miswiring on one's brain. When you look at a light, your pupils (the center black part of your eyes) contract to let in less light. When this happens with some people, the signal to do so also trips the nerve that something is in your nose thus making you sneeze. Same reasoning applies on why you might cough when you're cleaning out your ears.

The "bright light that helps you sneeze" isn't for everyone, it's thought that the optic nerve and the nerve that tells your nose to sneeze are close and in some people they are so close it can trigger a reaction. For me, when I am out on a sunny day my eyes actually screw shut and I can barely see until I look towards the sun and sneeze, then I can see normally again. No one else in my family has it, but I know I'm not the only one.

Looking at the light to sneeze helps, but it isn't enough for me. I always wave with my hands for a small breeze in combination to watch to the light and this gives a 80% succes rate compare to a 40% without the breeze.

Not everyone are sunsneezers. Only some people have the genes to have the interaction between the nerves for light and nose irritation so strong the signal can spread from the one set of nerves to the other. I'm a sunsneezer, my wife is not, and at least some of our kids are. My experience is that I will sneeze not if I look directly at the sun, but at some angle so that my reflex is to peer with my eyes. That will trigger the sneeze.

Amazing game and great casting as always! But if I can give some feedback about this moment (3:17), I'd really like to see casters follow all tournament instructions and rules (I don't know if T90 needed to have the logo during the game, but from what he said, he doesn't know either, and I think he should know). I feel like it isn't that hard to read the rule book and, to me, it just seems like people are not taking it seriously or being professional about it. We complain about players not reading and following rules, which is completely fair, and I think we should do the same thing for casters (I believe the rules for casting events are even simpler and smaller than for the players)

Seeing no logo didnt affect my enjoyment of this video in the slightest. Tournaments are just an excuse for great games to happen. I don't want to be mean to tournament organizers but as a viewer I honestly dont care about their ideas and plans for branding. Players hosting the wrong maps, using the wrong civs or stream sniping affects the quality of the matches we see. The lack of a logo does not. And Im here for the games.

you're not that different with sneezing looking at light. I have photic sneeze reflex, confirmed through DNA test. there are people who sneeze at light. whenever I have a sneeze coming up, I will look at light or flashlight of my phone (indirect) and will sneeze. 10-35% of people have this reflex.
