I have a few hundred beer steins myself, started with my Dad. And I took it to Another Level. My fav's are the antique crystal with a porcelain top painted insert.

I have a Swiss stein that has a wood body that holds a green clear glass inside the body. It also has a music box that only plays while lifted to drink.

Finally got a chance to watch this, fascinating! Had no idea the history behind those things. Loving the raised-art on the sides and etched-pics on the bottom so you have something to look at as you drink-up. :) The origin of the lids was particularly interesting, had no idea that was a result of the plague, wow. Thanks for the upload, looking forward to more like these!

A modern stein (post ww2) isn’t worth much. Most Italian steins I’ve seen are glass. The most collectible steins with value are German metlach or regimental steins pre ww1.

How about a pre war geez stein with a tavern type image. Looks like it's handcrafted and has 14 on the bottom where it says it was made in germany

The word "Stein" just means rock or stone. As a german it really bothers me that you call it just stein..its a Steinkrug wich means stone mug. Just saying... ;)
