Totsuko is a high school student with the ability to see the 'colors' of others. Colors of bliss, excitement, and serenity, plus a color she treasures as her favorite. Kimi, a classmate at her school, gives off the most beautiful color of all. Although she doesn’t play an instrument, Totsuko forms a band with Kimi and Rui, a quiet music enthusiast they meet at a used bookstore in a far corner of town. As they practice at an old church on a remote island, music brings them together, forming friendships and stirring affections. Will they discover their true 'colors'?

To be fair, as someone who doesn't have synesthesia but attributes colours to people - especially people i admire - you can find someone awesome at first sight and link a colour you find beautiful to them without any romantical feelings, just admiration It happens on average once a year for me and feels like finding someone that i would love to be friends with :D that rarely happens due to my awkwardness though, and those are also the kinds of people i think of later and wish i could've gotten to know

The character designer is Takashi Kojima who work on heike monogatari, flip flappers, and ride your wave. Plus Naoko Yamada who directed numerous Kyoto ani anime like silent voice, k-on, Liz and the blue bird, tamako love story, and Clannad and heike monogatari (sciene saru) and kensuke ushio who did the song for devil man cry baby, chainsaw man, silent voice, ping pong the animation, heavenly delusion. That a stacked team, might be my anime movie of the year.
