Polls suggest Volodymyr Zelenskiy, a comedian with no previous political experience, has become one of the frontrunners in Ukraine's presidential election.
His campaign is blurring the line between fact and fiction, as he stars in a hit TV series in which he plays a teacher who unexpectedly becomes president.
Some recent polls even put Mr Zelenskiy ahead of current President Petro Poroshenko, as well as opposition leader and former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, for the vote scheduled to begin with a first round on 31 March.
However, there are some important differences between Mr Zelenskiy and the TV character he plays, as BBC Ukraine Correspondent Jonah Fisher reports.

Yes. A good actor. He does seem genuine. Genuinely bad at getting his country ready to defend itself when he knows that a neighbouring country is considering invasion. Russia's population is only slightly over twice that of Ukraine. It shouldn't be THAT easy for anybody to invade a country of that size, but if the country being invaded has an actor in charge who is only pretending to be president then maybe invasion becomes much easier.

To be a good comedian you need empathy, self awareness, self deprecation, and intelligence (especially social intelligence), so we shouldn’t be so shocked that he has capably used those gifts in his campaign and leadership. Not all comedians would make good leaders but the traits above are maybe something we should be looking more for in our politicians. And can I just mention his voice?
