such an empowering visual: as the night gets darker, the stars become brighter. as we weep, we are blessed. Timothy Keller, you gave a gift! God bless you

Incredibly powerful message. Being your own savior is indeed a conduit used for evil.

Timothy Keller preaches on the meaning and context of the Beatitudes the writers note. Many readers of such have seen Jesus as only a teacher promoting such in a worldly sense or even attempted to create unrealistic utopia using such values. But Jesus reminds his believers of how this is how the Kingdom of God will be when He restores everything. And he even makes clear on how the Kingdom of Heaven belongs only for a narrow path.

Pastor you have some really good insights for us to work on in our lives; but assuming we are able to understand some of your explanations and vocab robs us of a depth that we miss. Clear english would be really helpful. i tend to miss a lot because of church language, rather than everyday english. Help!

Grace Peace scroll back if you didn't get everything, and reading helps widen vocabulary! :) it will come with time. English is not my native language but I seem to understand him very well. I don't detect any church language, I only hear English lol. Good luck friend, and God bless your studies 💙

I wonder what words you might be talking about... is it words like gentile, or exodus, ? I mention gentile because when I first heard this word I had no idea what it meant. I gentile is the rest of the people in the world who is not Jewish.
