I was saved at an early age and raised in the church but it took me well into my adulthood to realize that I was allowed to be angry.

We are not allowed to be angry. We are to forgive and be angry not. Vs 31 says put away all wrath, anger.... If I am angry with anyone or anything I am not forgiving because they know not what they do.

@@caboverdiano716 Then what do you do with this? Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no opportunity to the devil” (Eph. 4:26-27). Of course we will get angry. We are human. It’s what we do with it that determines whether we sin or not. Jesus was angry when he threw the money changers out of the Temple. Did He sin? Certainly not.

This sermon should be preached throughout the world to everyone, no matter what!!! I'm taking this to my children who need to forgive past major hurts from people in the past (not me) because I forgave those same people long ago and am lighter and better and more peaceful because of it. Love always finds a way if God is leading your path. God bless all of you, and may He show you the path. EYES AND HEARTS KEEP WATCH!!! loveya

''Hate crimes, not criminals.'' Jesus refers to anger in Matthew 5:21-26. He talks anger against your brothers will be subject to judgement. This is why forgiveness comes in. Jesus also told us to forgive indefinite times. We're all wrong doers, for which Jesus came to forgive dying for us. The key to understanding anger is finding reasons why you get angry. If the reasons are selfish, then you need to deal with yourself. If the reasons are injustice and untruthfulness, we need to assert vigorously to bring justice and truth. Being emotional doesn't help, though. We need to be calm and logical to assert cases.

It seems UTTERLY IMPOSSIBLE to forgive ....the depths of perversion of both innocence and truth ....the layers and layers of lies and distortion and abuse and neglect and exploitation .... Some of us are born into deep pits of hell ... God help us.

Bring it back to the Cross. Praying for you.

If you ask God to help you see what he did in all its entirety on the cross and how much hell we all deserve. ....then you will understand how much more shall we forgive others. if you ask God to forgive you, you are forgiven. because of the cross of Jesus....Forgiveness does not say that they did was ok or right, but it is obedience to God to choose not to dwell and look on the offence anymore, and it frees you of drinking poison yourself. You forfeit the grace that could be yours when you decide to not forgive.- it keeps you in bondage and the enemy can play with your mind. I pray God gives you the power to do so, keep asking . don't give up. On P4CM youtube there is a poem called "When I forgave my father". Check it out. Read all the bible passages on forgiveness. Peace.

I find it so difficult to forgive people who are close to me and I have to look after but they in terms don’t acknowledge my existence and often lay blame on me. I do try and get their acceptance but in vain and the only behavior that seems to have some effect is by feeding her vanity which she knows is disingenuous. Wanting someone’s love and acceptance who makes feel insignificant angers me. Please give me an answer?

Timothy explains the reasons we can't forgive ... It's either pride for not needing to be forgiven because of your righteousness so we can't forgive, or we haven't sensed the need for God's forgiveness for your own sins (an unforgiven heart is an unforgiving Heart) .. Remember HIS great forgiveness to all of us who have sinned against Him and your Grace will increase for those who have sinned against you. I pray God's boundless love can penetrate your heart and heal any wounds that you haven't fully surrendered to our Lord and Saviour so you can be transformed by HIS mighty Holy Spirit 🙏🕊️

How do you know if someone's problems are because of bitterness? I know this lady who is always bringing up things that people did to her years ago, in a very bitter way. Sort of gloating that she snubbed them for years because of the insult to her. Well, now she is seeing things and hearing things that no one else hears or sees. I feel that it is spiritual... that she gave/gives Satan a foothold. But it could be senility (she's about 77), medication side effects, other issues. She is a Christian, her whole family are believers. How can you differentiate between what might be causing these hallucinations? And how do you broach the fact that her bitterness might be the root cause? My mom talks to her quite frequently and tries (subtly) to bring it up, but if you act at all like those things she hears and sees aren't real she gets upset and angry. In every other way she is quite normal and reasonable. Don't know if anyone will respond, but I feel sure people will pray for her. Thanks!

It can't hurt for her to deal with the root of bitterness, even if the hallucinations are from medicine/old age. Of course she has to want that and I'm guessing she might not want to. Yes pray and help her if she shows signs of wanting help. Most of all may it be a lesson to the rest of us.

It sure sounds like she has bitterness and anger towards those people. She has not forgiven, and that's a very dangerous place to be before God. When you steep in sin and thereby give the enemy a foothold its not surprising if his demons will attack her. I would pray to God for her heart to change. "You will know them by their fruit"... She needs to repent. God help her
