Apologies to our Chinese viewers for the, at times, imperfect pronunciations. -Duan Chengshi is the modern transliteration of Tuan Cheng-Shi. -Chang'an is today known as to as Xi'an (although in English, Chang'an remains an accepted term to refer to the ancient city). -'Zhou' is pronuounced 'JOH' affecting the pronunciation of Guangzhou and Zhou Enlai.

For once this was an exciting and actual historical video about Africa. I thought this was one of those bizarre Afrocentric videos on how the Chinese were all nergos and the famous voyage proved certain words that sound alike are proof! Please make more videos like this, I'd love to learn more about Chinese and African ties. It doesn't matter the state since actual Afeican history doesn't matter if its below or above the Sahara is interesting.

No wonder there are so many Africans on social media who claim that Chinese ancestors were black. It’s from these Afrocentric sources.

@ 20:38, Premier Zhou Enlai's name is pronounced "Joe N Lie". Premier Zhou was a far better leader than Mao; Zhou, also in 1963, was the 1st person to propose "China's Four Modernization", which his protege, Deng Xiaoping, was able to bring to fruition, after Zhou's untimely demise.

"Chang Yang," "Tuang Tang Xi," "Guangzao"? Looked them up; couldn't find them. (You know whatever words' pronunciations you had decided to improvise can be looked up with your Google machine, don't you?)

Thanks for your feedback. Acknowledging imperfect pronunciation, we decided to put the accepted english transliterations of names on the screen so viewers can use them as a reference. Its something we'll improve if we do more videos on China.

Chang An (Tang Dynasty Capital), now has name of Xian (Xi An). Tuan Cheng Shih, is old pronunciation of Duan Zheng Shi, Guangzao is old pronunciation of Guangzhou (the capital of Guangdong province).
