Lee from Street fighter 1 actually comes up a bit as a background character. He's the uncle to Yun and Yang and is the one who taught them martial arts, and its implied he was a friend of Chun-Li's father. On top of that he may be Jamie's father, this is very tenuous, but an early leak and listed the new characters and called Jamie, Yun and Yang's cousin, then 6 months later the trailer dropped revealing Jamie and Chun-li and there was a character artwork leak confirming the new comer leak so its valid info, but at the same time the official profile on Jamie just says he was inspired by Yun and Yang so the relation ship may be a familiar one or the leaker could of misconstrued some information or the characters background could of changed between the leak and the reveal.

When Zeku transforms, he's basically a dead-ringer for Strider Hiryu, so your Strider connection isn't too far off. Also, if you listen carefully when transformed Zeku performs his specials, they have the same sfx whenever Strider slashes with his weapon. ... so there's that.

I was pretty surprised when Hakan was added to Street Fighter, especially Turkish Oil Wrestling, and yes things like tournaments happen every year around Turkey and it's a tradition but not popular HOWEVER!!! when Capcom heard and find out about this sport they were like "Yo this looks good, gimme dat shit!" so Capcom is always open and interested in any kind of fighting sport, martial art, and so on! Now I wanna mention a few things about this video: -in the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, you can see the bio and background of each fighter from SF1 - SF3 including from the alpha series, SO!!! Blanka, well if I remember correctly about Blanka that he was on a plane that crashed in the jungle of Brazil and came back into society as the green pal we all love, and yes he didn't speak and seemed dumb at the beginning but with time he was able to talk like a normal person, think like a normal person AND in the SF 30th Anniversary Collection there are a little comics of what each Street Fighter do in their free time, and Blanka just loves his mother no matter how old he is, such a good boy! -well since Ed is German (according to Capcom), Falke is just a codename because Falke means Falcon in German, I'm just pointing that out -also obviously Juri is just back because she is a fan favourite ... yeah ... fan favourite 🦶👀 -and SF4 was my first Street Fighter on PC but my laptop was hella weak and the game was slow, plus it didn't had a story mode despite having a story for each character, so I'm feeling like I fit into the next generation of Street Fighter, along side with my best friend lol one more thing I wanna point out is that Capcom would LOVE to add most of the Street Fighter characters and add obviously new ones but the big issues for them are always money and time, especially time so new or old fighters would become DLC in the future or free! Binged it while it was live and my god what an amazing video easily worth the wait learned lots facts about characters and thr story I honestly didn't know. Now obviously not every single fact about the story and characters were included like Vega's backstory or Dan might've beat Chun li in a fight but that doesn't harm the quality of the video overall and it wasn't even that important to the story in the first place. As for the ending theory I'm honestly thinking JP is bison's or another experiment that's funding the neo shadoloo, since all the members are bison clones and other experiments, I think he's gonna possess all of them at once and use the collective psycho power to rule/destroy the world and assuming this is the case Bison's plans are already looking like it's in full swing since his psycho power is looking way more powerful with brand new abilities but yeah I would prefer the illuminati became the next major antagonist like in 3rd strike. When I use a charge character, I do so by utilizing the charge during another attack animation. And then use their specials to maneuver them around the screen as best I can. Vega and Bison are amazing at bring able to move across large areas whilst attacking with their moves. Guile is a little harder to utilize charge moves AND be mobile as his flash kick doesn't move him much. But Vega has a roll and a jump attack that both can shift his position around while he is on offense. Plus the charge doesn't have to be stationary. So if Vega is I. The middle of his roll attack I can be holding down during it. Then immediately after it ends press up and attack to leap into the air to keep mobile. It's a very easy tactic to use for a beginner charge character play. Bison has moves that also can move him around. The psycho crusher, nightmare knee press (I think that's what it's called), and his heel stomp move (jumps to opponent and stomps. Then press punch after for a second mid air attack). Those 2 are my go to charge characters. I basically just string together specials to keep moving (and dodging) and chip away at an opponent while they are trying to follow my sporadic motions around the screen. Idk much about Dee Jay. But Bison and Vega are pretty good. Balrog is strong as hell but has absolutely NO range so while I CAN play as him. I have to really use his dashing punches to try and close distance. Another tactic to help with charge fighters is to remember that you can charge 2 directions at once. Holding down AND back charges BOTH. So I often start a match by holding down and back before they even say FIGHT (yes that time DOES count usually). Then when I press the other direction I continue to hold the other one that is charging. So down/back becomes up/back for example. Or down/back becomes down/forward. By holding the other charge direction you can string them together easier. Because during the animation for one move the charge for a other is being processed. Using these 2 tricks for playing a charge character helps a ton. But I'm a special move stringer. I play mostly using specials. Only occasionally messing with the regular attack buttons. When I play a Ryu style character I use the hurricane kick to move forward and dragon punch to deal damage once I get in close. I'm not a pro player by any means. But I usually do okay in most casual matches. As Bison and Vega I just make catching me to hit me a problem for an opponent. They have to come to me and I use the mobile specials to close distance and deal damage before getting the hell away and doing it all again.

Really impressive. I’m usually not a big fan of people doing comedic asides in their explanations, but yours were actually mostly funny and fit pretty well with the rest of your tone. I know it's confusing 😅 but just for some info... Street Fighter Alpha 2 takes place after Alpha 3 so the Time line is basically: Street Fighter Street Fighter Alpha Street Fighter Alpha 3 Street Fighter Alpha 2 Street Fighter 2 Street Fighter 4 Street Fighter 5 Street Fighter 3 3rd Strike Street Fighter 6 So that's why Charlie is alive after Alpha 2 in Alpha 3 that's when he died. This timeline is Canon officially confirmed by devs. G is neither a clone or a variant of Q, he is manipulating Q into murdering people and that's why Q is able to be in multiple places at once, Q time travels as well. G is mind controlling Q, they aren't the same person and the reason why there names are only one letter is because they want to remain anonymous... Except G he is very social. Rose isn't present in Street Fighter 6 because she is busy tampering with visions with G, because G is going to be the next villain and PROBABLY joining teams with JP in Street Fighter 7, there ain't no way they killing of JP this early. Also JP has Psycho Power too so we Lookin' at JP, Bison, & G as main Villains in future Street Fighter Projects. That last paragraph was just my Theory, G is just floating in the Street Fighter universe not even being used for any games, JP is a new villain and can't be killed already plus Bison never dies. My main never dies, it is rumored that Bison is in JP's body influencing him.

11:41 Well, one of my favorite Alpha characters is Charlie, and I always jump in to start a combo, but almost immediately after i jump, I charge down-back, because i plan to either Sonic Boom his ass, or Flash Kick his ass at the end of my combo. Now, trying to combo into supers with him, on the other hand, is a pain in the ass for me.

My brother, you just gotta hide those charges. Holding back to block should always be part of the game plan. However, you can jump, throw hands, or wake up with charge in tow. You just gotta hold back when ever animations are being played out. It takes getting used to, but some characters get the benefit of moves being good, because you were being patient ex. Like walking behind a slow Sonic Boom with Guile, or duffing a dude with a rush punch with another with Boxer. Cody’s Zonk Punch requires the same mentality. You can do it! Also, thanks for the video. I always love seeing folks do retrospectives when new entries of a game come out! EDIT: I have the wildest theory for Street Fighter 6. The player character IS the Illuminati’s creation. They are going around the world learning from masters, easily adapting things like Blanka’s lightning, Dalhisim’s yoga fire, etc… things like Seth was able to do, but was too obsessed with Bison to do anything productive. Let’s say the G files are the successor to SIN’s data, creating a truly powerful and evolving being, and being that desires to learn the meaning of strength and at the end of the world, you have break Gil’s prophecy. JP looks to be carrying on the psycho power legacy and while befriending the masters, you help Ken clear his name, but he senses the player isn’t normal. The big twist being you are what the Illuminati fear. That is some crazy Street Fighter story.

@10:30 regarding Honda's name: Western names in Japan actually first started to come into use in the late 19th century. Sometimes a family will actually give their kids a western name in addition to a Japanese name as western names as easier for non-Japanese speakers to pronounce. In some cases, those born with Japanese names adopt a name in English for various reasons, the best known example perhaps being Noriyuki Morita who would go on to use the stage name Pat Morita. And then you have folks in Japan that are half American and half Japanese due to the American occupation from 1945-1952, but do keep in mind that the US still maintains bases over there, so there is ALWAYS the possibility of American/Japanese couples getting married and having kids. In short, while I'm not saying it's super common, it's also not uncommon for various reasons if that makes sense.

The hint with charge characters is ABC, always be charging. So like, to try and make it simple, try holding down back unless you need to move foward. You can also charge in the middle of combos and other actions like jumping foward.

You charge the direction as you're doing other moves. Then input the direction as if you're doing normal combos. Example: Guile jump and immediately hold down in the air, you can do any attack to combo into a charge attack or just land and do the input.
