I couldn’t agree more with how awesome of a character Luigi is! He is my 1# Favorite Character with Mario as a super close 2nd likely because of how he overcame the Overshadowed Pallete Swap Stereotype and rose to become a beloved Nintendo Icon alongside his brother. He’s not just Legendary. He’s Luigendary! (That’s what my Luigi amiibo is nicknamed)

Amazing video! Loved the recap of Luigi and how he’s grown over the decades, I always wondered when I was younger why Luigi was absent from games or why we couldn’t choose what character to play as before New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, but Luigi has gotten his time to shine more than ever and hopefully it grows more along the way, happy 40th anniversary to Luigi!

No mention of Super Paper Mario, arguably the game where Luigi drives the plot the most? It's funny how you gave mentions to how absent he was in previous games but just kinda immediately went past SPM when you got to that era. Luigi becomes a cool villain and is the deciding factor in a 1500 year doomsday prophecy, in addition to being the only PM game where he's playable.

Was just thinking that! One of my favorite appearances of Luigi in any of the games! Not only is he a villain, a playable character, AND the final boss, but the characters were always where SPM shined. Loved seeing him interact with the cast of villains, as well as “that” conversation with Grambi and Jadees. One of his best roles so far

Might be common knowledge but Im pointing it out anyway. They ARE twins. Luigi might have come out a few minutes later and hes " lil " bro due to on surface level, hes not as brash or outgoing like Mario. Making him little brother in that regard. I think Luigi is more inventive, caring, careful and thoughtful. Hes a bit more introvert too, while Marios more extrovert. Both are social, just differently. Equal heroes with their flaws. Last tidbit. Mario got his name after the surname of the family = Mario Mario and Luigi Mario, so Luigi is more originale there 😋
