I think with the updates that they introduce in the future they should have an array of vehicles from all different eras. So that ppl can have new and exciting vehicles at lower tiers, while offering something exciting for Cold War or modern vehicle fans

one thing that would be cool to mention is the vehicles from other nations that eventually got their own tech tree such as Italy. Ive noticed with the sm79 that the damage model isn't 100% so it can tank hundreds of shots and to lose a wing or tail.

I feel like Naval would be far more popular if ships could be used in ground battles, like you get a kill or two and you can get CAS, but wouldn't it be cool if say 3-5 kills could get you anything from a small boat to a full fledged battleship to bombard the ground or destroy enemy vessels even help secure the air space and get this capture a FOURTH point that is in the water we can call it the D point. This would encourage fleshed out line ups of tanks air and ships (of course not all maps can support ships, maybe only smaller battle boats can be used if not enough water is present to support bigger vessels) Edit: battle ships bombarding ground vehicles will probably be super op and frustrating, my counter argument is that CAS is already super op and frustrating so it all balances out :)

Wait wait, the hatch for the T-34 had always been that way but the tiger 1 hatch originally was wide open, it took forever for them to fix it, even though they would say it was fixed. I think eventually they just bound it closed because yeah they wouldn't have used it open in direct combat, they had periscopes for the commander who was giving orders. And yeah stalinium was based on the insane RNG the game engine would seem to give, many times bouncing for no reason. Also often especially in WOT they would get all of the benefits of lets say the 122 mm gun and none of the disadvantages, so it would load almost as fast as the much smaller cannons. The tanks might have tons of armor yet still be able to move very fast. They fix this by there being a set value for the render object, but the flight model or thing that moves is given less resistances. In reality the 122 was super slow to load and had a hi9gh failure rate. That is what happens when you make pancake tanks. Most people would just embrace it and grind whatever is stronk because eventually they all get nerfed. But more than that these are/were russian games. Where the majority of people played. Their horrible infastructure lead to really poor performance on a lot of the most played vehicles and of course they would get the benefit of the doubt in their home country. They would take it seriously though and even mock it with soviet bias titles and stickers. But by then a lot of it had been balanced better. Remember though this thing was a plane game at first. And yeah of course the Russian planes were crazy. Like way worse in comparison to how it would turn out in tanks that seemed to take forever to come out. Meanwhile a lot of us played WOT for tanks, so it kind of spread, because it was true. The community still refers to certain planes as UFOs and most of them are russian, because they don't seem to use physics, and do the impossible. Ok rant over for now. lol Again they did tone it down, sometimes without telling the community through stealth nerfs or flight model updates. It has been 12 years for some of us and 11 for me.

10:50 I honestly don't even recommend touching Realistic Naval. The required skill is way too high. This is why I think people don't play naval: they hop into RB naval, because its the gamemode they're used to, realize its way too hard and leave. If you want a fun Naval experience play Arcade instead, where you get lead indicators and damage control is reliable.

What you had as "Arise, Great Country!" is referred to as "Red-Starred Avengers" by Gaijin. "Arise, great Country" is it's own song. Also both "Red-Starred Avengers" and "Advance Australia" still play as the Russian hanger music

In regards to the release in to Japan deal. I have a physical copy of War Thunder from the Japanese market that I got from PlayAsia. It came with a free Ki-44 II Otsu and various other goodies. Unfortunately it seems that it is no longer available for purchase anymore. If nothing else Gaijin has broken into the Japanese market with this example.

at 12:15 the Admiral Graf Spee is a TechTree vehicle. the one you probably thought of was the Prinz Eugen as premium pack and Admiral Hipper as TT counterpart. i wouldnt say Eugen is overpowered or better than Hipper. Graf Spee is better than both of them xD. and a funny add to the Prinz Eugen Pack, it used to give you a special Camo when you bought it, but it got removed.

I talked to a recruiter a few months ago, alot of the military guys play war thunderbut they dont care. Only a niche group is leaking classified documents so they dont bother asking what games people play in their free time.
