Fun fact about the swap from 9Gs to 9Ls. The 9Ls did not fit on the existing hard points when they arrived, so 809 squadron’s riggers decided to fix the problem themselves - by filing off the bit of the hard point that was obstructing the new missile. You can actually notch fox 3 missiles by appearing stationary in the air next to a hill or something. You can do this in the the Harrier by using the VTOL, meaning you won't need much chaff when dealing with them.

I like using the frs 1 and I use this tactic that I call, the stop, lock, and c*ck. Where I slam on the brakes, hover, and use the hot gas thrusters to turn really fast then lock up with the aim 9 Ls and send them to the hanger. But I only Really play sim.
