Things are strange right now. The US dollar is becoming less valuable because of inflation, but it's getting stronger compared to other currencies and things like gold and property. People are turning to the dollar because they think it's safer. I'm worried about my retirement savings of about $420,000 losing value because of high inflation. Where else can we keep our money?

This documentary on gold has a huge gap which is the story of India in gold, even today the highest amount of privately held gold is with Indian women. Gold is embedded with Hindu customs and culture. India has a history of more than 5000yrs and gold can be traced all the way back, with many gods representing the gold and wealth, both male and female gods.

I think the word "empire" has been seriously depreciated. Lydia or Phrygia were tiny little kingdoms. I doubt they even had governors under the king. They did not have multiple ethicities, religions, cultures under their rule either. Why do you keep calling them Empires? The only Empire of the time was Achaemenid Empire which span from Afghanistan to Greece, Egypt to Caucasus and had multiple ethnicities, cultures and religions under the Shah. It was organized as an Empire with multiple Satraps ruling as governors of Egypt, Anatolia, Mesopotamia, etc...

2:13:54 You need to define your terms. "Inflation" refers to an increase in the money supply. Something that cannot happen on a gold standard. But does when a government thinks it can control that which deserves to be free. "Prosperity led to inflation" is one of the most patently false claims I've ever heard.

Gold comes from you and me and everyone else. We All have gold in our veins right now. In fact gold is always found in a vein. It's called a PRECIOUS metal for a reason. Ask yourself, "what is precious"? Life. Life is precious! NOW you know where gold comes from. And It's not from outer space.

History is too often taught with an Agenda. I noticed you left out the Depression of 1920-1921. How the Government solved it with deep spending cuts. Because of your neglect, you would not / could not contrast that with the Great Depression. Not how the Great Depression was greatly extended because of the Government's exact opposite approach (increasing spending rather than cutting spending). Nor did you mention that the POTUS changed the exchange rate (after making gold illegal) which inflated the currency effectively stealing money. Nor did you say anything about how the US Constitution states that Gold and Silver are money (see ArtI.S10.C1.3 Legal Tender). The question is, are you intentional or neglectful?
