I was able to meet Lorraine Warren (actual person, not the actress), and she was such a kind and warm person. Her daughter, Judy, is just as sweet. According to Lorraine, the events depicted in the movie were 80 - 85% accurate. I'm also spiritually gifted and saw a dark cloud above the real Annabelle doll (which I also saw).

I'm sure you have already been suggested this like 1,000 times, but I would HIGHLY recommend The Conjuring 2, as it is a much scarier tale, and it introduces that creepy-ass nun, who is much scarier in this than in either of her own two feature flicks (plus it takes place in England, and i am always a sucker for an accent...😜!! I thorougly enjoy your hilarious reactions. Thanks so much for making me LOL when i should be screaming my head off (which is what you're usually doing which is what makes me LOL, that and your hilarious commentary. All of Ed and Lorraine's haunted artifacts are now in the possession of their nephew John Zaffis. He had a show on cable called The Haunted Collector. He goes to people's homes that are experiencing paranormal activity that is connected to an item. Rest assured, he has performed rituals, blessings, etc. to keep himself and others safe from the things that have attached themselves to these items. He also now has possession of the Annabelle doll. All of the items are in his Paranormal Museum in Stratford, Connecticut. A lot of people who met Ed and Lorraine over the years have said that Ed was a bit much to deal with....some even feeling that he regularly exploited Lorraine and her abilities. Lorraine however, I've heard nothing but good things about that woman.

yeah I've seen videos & read articles that say that Ed really wasn't such a nice person...I think he had a 40 year affair with some other woman...some of the stuff I have read also claims that they weren't as "authentic" as these movies claim they were...some have straight up said they are fakes & scammers, so I guess it is all in what you choose to believe

Seeing Ashliegh on the verge of a breakdown I feel compelled to say this. I know I'm not going to convince anyone who believes otherwise, but: demonic possession isn't real. It's not a thing that actually happens. You don't need to be in actual distress worrying about it. This is for both Ashleigh and anyone else. I'm fine with scary movies and having supernatural premises and all that. They're great entertainment and even fantastical scenarios can he meaningful to real people. But you don't need to be scared in your real life after the movie is over about things that are make believe.

I find Conjuring 2 even better at the scare, even if it is “Hollywoodized” in plot. The fun thing about the franchise is the, perhaps romant-ized, tale of Ed and Lorraine’s faith and relationship. The real humans may or may not live up to the hype, but the movies are good at scares and heartening in the good vs evil style.

Interesting facts about The Conjuring (2013) (1) The home’s current owners sued the producers. Up until The Conjuring was released to theaters the home in which the paranormal happenings had occurred had been quiet and without incident. Once the movie came out however they experienced a slew of robberies and a great deal of vandalism. Their home became a circus, and they eventually sued the producers and the director alike. (2) Lorraine Warren does have a cameo. The woman who went through the harrowing process of the true story was indeed asked to play a part in the film. It wasn’t that involved but it was more than enough to realize who she was. (3) The main actors spent time with the real Lorraine Warren. It was absolutely vital that Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga get the facts and the truth about the Warrens in order to make the film as authentic as possible. (4) Originally the story was told from the Perron family’s point of view. Before being revised, edited, and going through a rewrite, the point of view of the story was that of the Perron family. Eventually, that was changed and we got to see it from Warren’s point of view. (5) Priests in the Philippines performed blessings before the film was shown. It might have been a ploy to up ticket sales or it might have been a hint of paranoia concerning the dark feelings that came along with the movie, but this was very real. Catholic priests were actually brought in to bless the audiences in the Philippines. It must have worked because no one ever reported an actual possession.

It would've been a two hour drive but I think it would've been worth it....plus you would've been able to get the 'I survived the Conjuring House' and worn it for this review. It's a shame that you still haven't watched the Amityville Horror as the Amityville house was also investigated by the Warrens in 1976. Your reactions make me laugh. Love the things you say. In sickness and in health but nothing about demonic possession. That was hilarious.

I'm a lifelong horror hound, but The Conjuring scared the bejeezus outta me, (honestly still does)... Such a terrifying film, especially when there isn't a single human death, (aside from historical characters), in the entire movie.... R.I.P. to Sadie the dog, though

Love this film! It's on the way to becoming a cult classic. Still the best one of the series. I had never seen a reaction video until yours & now years later here I am enjoying them even more than before. You're the best! Secret Phrase - "Clap Clap"

The fact you watched it with the lights off is a huge thumbs up from me, much different from basically all the other reactors who have all their lights, LEDs, monitors on full blast.

Fun fact, a lot of details have been kind of scattered in time, Bathsheba Sherman might have been made out to be a witch due to some old school hate campaign over political reasons with her husband, but the legend has gone on for so long people jump to blame her. So when the Warrens investigated, her name came up and they quickly blamed her. There is some sort of dark spirit in that now 400 year old house, but investigators have talked to Bathsheba since, and she doesn't seem to be the main bad one. That also said, another YT channel, Sam and Colby, are currently releasing episodes of their new 7 day stay at the same house. Episode/day 2 is coming out the 25th.

Thank you for sharing this, I watch a lot of Ghost Hunting channels and truly believe that most that has happened in the house and the stories. Its always interesting to hear other peoples thoughts on the house and stories behind the haunting's.

It was actually a demon. A human ghost doesn't have the power to move objects and throw people around, let alone possess someone.

I think the movie intentionally leaves room for skepticism. For example the hanging part, "someone" says she proclaimed something ridiculous and then hung herself... seems fishy. It sounds like people did it to her and then accuses her of doing it herself, it's all secondhand account. There are other places with gaps enough for skepticism to elbow its way in. Fun movie though and great for reactions.
@TheRemyLeBeau
@TheRemyLeBeau Жыл бұрын
@@mannygee005 It can also be she was already possessed which in turn made her hang herself. To me that makes more sense, really, since I don't think ritually sacrificing a child and hanging yourself summons a demonic entity. But those older times are generally fishy anyway. Religious people killed other people who didn't believe in God back then. The whole idea of witch burnings came from religious people blaming non-religious people, because Witchcraft is originally just Herbalism/Shamanism that doesn't rever a religious God. So yeah, I do agree with you on that part that Betsheeba might have been the victim as well. In terms of skepticism, a lot of people have pointed out that a fair bit of things the Warrens have claimed to do are not really proven. So with the movie giving enough gaps it kind of plays on that aspect of people not believing them IRL as well. They're pretty much saying: "Look at what happened. People claim this wasn't a case of possession. Do you agree?"

The Warrens are definitely an interesting topic. I just watched a documentary about them on Max (formerly HBO Max) that was really good. I think the fact the the real Annabelle doll is a Raggedy Anne makes it so much more terrifying because it seems so harmless. The doll for the Annabelle movies, in my opinion, was of a look that would already give you bad feelings just by it’s appearance. You wouldn’t think anything about having a Raggedy Anne doll but you would when it comes to the movie doll. I do believe in the paranormal and have a few personal encounters with stuff. Always great to see you just about jump clear to the ceiling! Keep it up!

Lol. I seriously thought the movie version was a poor choice for a doll some mom bought for her daughter (I was thinking “what did she do to you, mom”). John Zaffis (for Ashley) used to be on KZbin. I thought he had possession of the museum and Annabelle. How cute she is, to me makes her even scarier (I’ve always loved big floofy Raggedy Anne dolls so it’s def something I’d have been fooled by. A blonde, porcelain, almost cross eyed zombie doll - not so much).

I think they changed the design because they couldn't secure the rights to Raggedy Ann design. The rights to the design are held by Hasbro, and they are known to hold on tightly to their trademarks and designs. As a side note, that is also why every time a Ouija board is featured in a movie it's not called Ouija board, and has a different design. The only movie that features an actual Ouija board is "Ouija", produced by Hasbro themselves.
