Sheikh, , you are a blessing to this umma. Especially for the young Muslims in the west. You have no idea how many people your lectures are bringing closer to the religion. May Allah reward you immensely.

13:30 so true! Subhan Allah. I was raised a Catholic and remember my granny - a Catholic herself - used to say this!! Natural Disasters are the result of our deeds - and she wasn't a Muslim !! So we should be even more aware of this!

Dr Qadhi, if god exist why do nice people suffer, why does god let it happen? Would you make a video about it? Please.

This dunya is not a resting place but a testing place. "The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception" - Quran 3:185. The ones who are closest to Allah s.a.w. are tested the most. We have to remind ourselves that this world is only temporary, we are using it to build a good hereafter for ourselves. When we are being tested, our patience is also being tested, we need to use those vulnerable moments to increase our Iman, our faith in Allah. By doing so, our suffering in this temporary dunya will allow us to be rewarded in our hereafter inshAllah. Once we acknowledge that this world is nothing but an illusion, we will be able to better ourselves and grow in our Iman, because a good hereafter is the goal inshAllah. I hope this helped :)

"We will certainly test you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives and fruits (earnings);but give glad tidings to the persevering and patient." - Surah Baqrah verse 155 The believers, both individually and collectively, pass through one or some of these tests. These include the religious obligations which would come after the revelation of this verse, such as war, which causes fear and the loss of wealth and lives, and the fasting of Ramadan. The main purpose for testing is to mature and perfect the believers, both as individuals and as a community, purify them, distinguish the true believers among them from the hypocritical ones, develop their capacities, prepare them for the future, and make them worthy of Paradise.

Every person does sin maybe what he is suffering from is a result of his sin or maybe it's a test. Do you really think this is the end you die and everything is over? No! There will be a day of Judgement (every religion mentions it) and on that day the true justice will be served. Hitler incinerated millions of Jews what's the worst punishment you can offer him ? Kill/burn him once. Right? But that won't be justice for other 999,999 people but remember Allah says that as the skins of people are roasted in hell we shall provide him with fresh skin so that they can feel the pain.So only God can give the punishment which a person deserves. We see there are many mafias living luxurious life despite killing and looting thousands of innocent people. And they are never punished they die in peace. Do you really think that they can do just whatever they want and not face any repricussion ? Surely it's not like that. There will be Judgement.

Asalamualaikum, I have some questions for you ya sheik, have sent you a mail with no reply from you, I hope you can answer it here. You once mentioned in your khutbah that there is an hadith that says the rituals of Islam will be stripped away one pillar after the other, the last to be stripped being salah. Can you please expatiate on this hadith The stripping away will be in what form?
