One of these days, the depths of the intellect and skill "primitive" people have continuously demonstrated throughout human history will become better appreciated.

The copper age around the Great Lakes was separate from the copper age of mezo America. Ive seen nothing that shows they crossed. Meaning it appears they were independent.

The Chalcolithic only really existed in the middle east, and possibly some areas of the Americas.

The Levant region. The rest of future Western Europe was hyper-thrusted into the bronze age. The "Americas" were inhabited by scrotum-scratching barbarians who threw their feces as a weapon. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y2e6pmOHbN1oepI

@@ConontheBinarian I looked that up, but the Google search engine referred me to "Old copper nose" instead. It turns out, that was Henry VIII's nickname because he debased English currency.

There was an early copper using culture around the great lakes in North America ... as early as 9000 bc if memory serves me .. but don't quote me on that date... might be 9k years before present.. but im pretty sure it's BCE.

@@RuinedTemple For a blue-collar worker or a common person during the Copper Age, a prized possession made of copper would likely have been a functional tool or weapon that could make their daily life easier or provide a means of protection. Some examples of valuable copper items for a common person might have included: Copper axe: A copper axe would have been more durable and efficient than a stone axe, making tasks like cutting wood or clearing land easier. Copper dagger or spearhead: A copper weapon would have provided better protection against enemies or wild animals. Copper jewelry: Copper was also used for decorative purposes, and a simple piece of copper jewelry, such as a bracelet or necklace, might have held symbolic or sentimental value. Copper pot or vessel: Copper was sometimes used to make cooking or storage vessels, which could have been considered valuable items for a common person. It's important to note that copper was still a relatively rare and valuable resource during the Copper Age, so even these basic tools and weapons would have been considered prized possessions for a blue-collar worker.

It seems to me that Ötzi might have been a raider.... he and possibly some freiends were chased from an unsuccessful attempt at raiding, eventually caught and killed. Just my story.

Hard to know, the evidence also suggests Otzi may have been fleeing an earlier fight with his neighbors. His assailants were careful enough to remove their identifiable arrow shaft, but smart enough to leave Otzi's valuable, but easily identifiable, belongings behind.
