I don’t understand you want me to financially support you so you can make more money! Will I be entitled to a share in your profits when you sell the classes to the academy? Sorry I don’t understand.

Thank you for your comments. Most of the community events we already do are totally free for people to participate in and the aim is that we develop more free content that can reach more people across the world. To do this in a way that people can really participate in and get the most out of connecting costs us significant amounts of money for licences , equipment and for software etc. I also personally dedicate a lot of my time to connecting with people and helping them face to face or online at no cost and outside of my normal working day. This takes considerable planning and time to do but I do it willingly because I want to help. I will continue to do this despite the Crowdfunder because I care about people. On the crowdfunder platform the ‘rewards’ for support are actually tangible items, be they goods or services you pay for, in return for a small investment. Yes we will be creating online workshops and services in the future but that will primarily be our own internal investment not the crowdfunder money. We had been planning to do this anyway as part of the business and crowdfunding will not affect this. We want more people to experience the pleasure and connection being part of a knitting community can bring.
