The Corrs are a family of musicians and singers from Ireland. Immensely talented and musical, multi-instrumental. Ireland has a common practise of people coming to the pub and just playing songs together. It’s a very fun way to live. These guys are an example of what that does for a community.

The Corrs are an Irish family, and fiddle is essential to Irish music! This song was everywhere for a few years. You probably heard it at the grocery store! It was a HUGE hit kn the pop charts.
@sean---the-other-one2 жыл бұрын
Part of the reason for the vocals working so well together is that they’re sisters and have sung together since kids. So it’s common DNA mixed with years of knowing exactly how each other perform. Some vocalists are well known for doing harmonies to their own Melodie’s in order to get a real chord of an instrument happening in their delivery. Sting is such an example.

Just was looking to see more about them. They’re all siblings. Also as a musician i thought you’d find it interesting. The vocalist plays tin whistle and ukulele. The drummer also plays a bodhran. Irish drum, and a cahon. Central and South American type of drum like instrument. Definitely not your normal instruments you’d find in a band. And yes the violinist has been playing since she was 6.

@@readhistory2023 She played Jimmy Rabbit’s eldest sister. (It’s been a while since I watched it, so I hope I’ve got his name right. The manager. She was in some scenes in his house like when the auditions were happening. I think she gives him a grin when they’re listening to some weird performance, and she may have done a little jig with their mum also?)

Gotta agree...adding the violin was pretty smooth. Blue October does that as well by using violin in their songs.
@raycewilliams33002 жыл бұрын
To your point....violin adds so much to their music. There, for whatever reason, is very little violin in "modern" mainstream music. It's of course more common in the Country & Western genre. I love it when violins and flutes are added to a song.

To them, it's a fiddle! Having a fiddle in their band is as natural as breathing & singing because they're Irish. I love it best when they perform traditional music, which they do often & fantastically. Thanks for reacting to them. Also, they play a tin whistle & the drummer sometimes plays a bodhran which is struck with a tipper..all traditional Celtic instruments, but they play them in their pop style songs anyway.
