The cottage demo is done and we’re so excited to start putting it back together soon. Also the garden is blowing up with so much good produce and we take you on a walk around part of the new property.

Yum! Your garden looks amazing. When I lived in Burbank, Ca we had a giant fig tree that the figeater beetles or green fruit beetles would attack. They swarmed for about 2 weeks. It was near to impossible to get them away from the tree.

When I see your video capturing the garden, then the cottage, then over to the big walnut tree with the pew/bench ... well, it reminds me of England or France. Sorry that Jami got stung! 🐝 I'm jealous of your figs ..my gardeners pruned our fig tree this last winter & I have done it before and we used to get tons of figs. No idea why, but they weren't edible.. and I love figs. But this year we didn't get figs! 😂 What the heck..must have been the pruning?! Yours looked delicious 😋 and when Jami said it's like a fig Newton..I was jealous lol! Thanks for sharing all you're up to. Just love this channel too! Congrats on the demo!

hopefully your tree comes back around! My grandma had a big fig tree in her back yard with a tree house in it and we would brave the scratchy leaves for the figs. Worth it!

Hi Jami & Zeb...just found your channel and love watching your garden progress. Your mom is right about topping off your tomato plants...when you top them off they concentrate more on growing the tomatoes and less on the plants themselves...also as your tomatoes start to grow, take off the suckers...they grow in between the main branch and the stems that grow the fruit...you'll have better tomatoes and the plants will have better air circulation...as for your squash and cucs, try growing them vertically on some kind of support like a trellis shaped like a teepee...I bet Zeb could whip one up for next year...they're a great space saver...check out the millennial gardener's channel...he has a huge garden and lots of great tips... also garden answer...she also has tips for flowers...good luck next year

Amazing garden! Now is when we say “OY! What was I thinking!” Then you enjoy in the Winter and all is good! A friend of mine has a freeze dryer and she gets 5 dozen eggs from Costco and freeze dried them! She said they are SO good that way! I bet farm fresh are even better! Have you freeze dried eggs yet?

Higher up in the mountains it’s like that but it’s pretty hot and dry in the summer where we’re at for 3-4 months. Our other property is higher elevation and has a lot more undergrowth.

We will gladly share some of our humidity! Here in southwest Arkansas, it has finally dropped back down to 95 (102 f with heat index) at 7:11pm. Humidity is at 45%. It got up to 106f, actual temp today. 😕

The green pumpkins are just not ripe yet. It’s best to leave them until the plants get frosted a bit. About the trumpet vine, you might want to paint roundup on the leaves, they are aggressive and will keep coming back, nasty stuff! I don’t like roundup and have had to use it in a few years, but I might need to soon. Bindweed and blackberries.

You should put your camper or as we call it caravan on your property, then you have somewhere to sleep when you visit your land.

hopefully soon! we have to cut a road into it first. the road ends about 100 yards before our property line and our land is completely untouched. there are parts of an old barbwire fence thats at least 60-70 years old and that's it.
