Yes, the Hunger will ask Sam if what she wants to vision in the future and then Sam replied that she only have one she wants to see and that is how to end the Hunger, then the Hunger said is through a fire (burning of forest) and thats it. When Sam gets away to the skewer, the forest is burning and Sam asked help to the police officers for a good place to stay on and etc.

How did he solve the stair puzzle I know the note said 4,1,5,6, but how did 11,17,28 make sense what’s the logic

Add the number before it. And then add the number before and it and keep going. 4+1 is 5 and because 1 is before 5 we add 1 to 5 which is 6. Now 5 is before 6 so will add it to 6 and it is 11 and so on.
