Some nice catches Ty, well the crappie are finally starting to move in a little closer. Two days in a row I found schools of them and catching them back to back. Nothing big, most of them ten inches saw a couple of huge ones coming out of the outlet as I walked up to the spot

Little secret an older gentleman that caught big crappie all the time he said to use the lightest jig head you could cause crappie are used to shad sinking slow when injured or killed. Trust me buddy it works

If you want to catch really big crappie (over 3lb.) tie on a #3 Mepp's or Rooster tail spinner.

I lived in North Texas (Denton) and we threw back 14" crappies. Bandit crankbaits was the ticket back then, now I live up north and a 14" fish is a good one. Bogart lake and Prosper city lake was great for them and 7 pound bass were the norm. I always hoped I would run into Deon Sanders fishing there.
