for a rep to count you actually need to hold the squat, he didn't, that absolutely was not a rep. His legs didn't stay locked on the way up, he didn't wait for the rep to count to stand up. So many things he did wrong and people want to complain about fairness, that would have been unfair had it counted. If other judges are letting stupid reps through, it is on them, all judges can't just be like "well why don't we join them in being s***" its nice to see some level of technical integrity in judging in sports events.

How many of these weights do you think these athletes hit in training before the games? Ideally they are in their best physical and mental condition when the games start. Couple that with the competitiveness they feel during these events, and you would think they are hitting PRs during the competition
@EliteRainSnipers9 жыл бұрын
+LXAsx457 Oftentimes, people PR outside of competitions. Some people do better in comp, but the vast majority seem to do best in the gym when they can concentrate and not deal with a big crowd.

It's decided by your performance in the other events. They are awarded a certain number of points after each event and they get ranked and each section of people gets into a heat. Heat 4 is the best.

can someone please tell me how to hold the bar for the overhead squat? I can squat regularly 60KG for 8 reps but when i do to overhead with just the bar, it doesn't feel right, first off my knees go past my toes (unlike back squat) and i feel like my arms aren't straight i read on internet it says arm lock out, how to lock out? the elbow point down ? and do i squeeze my back tight like the elbow looking thing in the back come together? how i hold please tell me, please please. please
@jeremyschlichting8239 жыл бұрын
+Garlic Jr Don't hold the bar straight over your head. Hold it at least above your ears or maybe even farther back. Also make sure you have a very wide grip like you see these girls doing. Locking out just means that your arms are straight pretty much. I'm not a master but that's what my coach's have told me
@cooper5129 жыл бұрын
+Garlic Jr You may not have the shoulder mobility. Keep stretching and do shoulder rotations with a stick.

I didn't even notice an issue with that. This is brilliant.
