Quick lore note: the crow(the bird) is suppose to guide spirits to the afterlife but when a strong enough tragedy is left it tethers the spirt to the world of the living and the crow can bring someone back to right the wrongs done, the person brought back can gain memories from touching things related to the tragedy to remember what happen, while the person is guided by the crow they feel no pain and heal instantly till they right the wrong
@killinglonliness88
@killinglonliness88 4 ай бұрын
Not until they right the wrong really, they're invincible until the crow got injured. It's because of that he became able to be harmed instead of invincible. Of course, once he rights the wrongs done to him he was going to go back into the grave, but yeah.
@jamesmeade5490
@jamesmeade5490 3 ай бұрын
Not quite. He does feel the pain, but his emotional pain is greater so it becomes like a high for him to hurt physically he gets to a point where he enjoys it. Incidentally he is only supposed to fix his wrongs, he cannot interfere with the living. If he does he isn’t invincible his wounds remain. Look at Erics hands after he interferes with Darla’s addiction to help Sara he has black tape on his hands. Thats because she cut him swinging the razor blade. He used tape to hold the cuts closed. There was an entire character that was cut from the movie who explained the rules to Eric. Brandon died before they could do most of those scenes. But the scenes that take place after still have his hands taped up with black tape.

A little bit of trivia, but the late Michael Massee, the actor who plays Funboy, was the actor who fired the prop gun that killed Lee. Not his fault of course because the prop department is supposed to check that stuff, but he was traumatized by the event and took a year off from work. I would recommend the original comic by James O'Barr, but it's quite a bit different in some respects. The idea is essentially the same, but there is no Devil's Night/Crime Boss plot, just a bunch of creeps who Eric looks for and tears through with little effort. Eric also doesn't have weaknesses connected to the crow and if I recall correctly, no living person can see the crow, only Eric. The depiction of the murder of Eric and Shelley is also different and significantly worse. I'll refrain from describing it, but it was deeply unpleasant to read (oh, and Eric is like twice as crazy and violent than he is in the movie).

The original Crow comic was created from grief. The creator's significant other was killed in a car accident. Then you've got the tragedy with Brandon Lee.

The comic was even darker and sadder than the movie. It was also beautiful. You can tell it was really inspired by grief. T Bird was actually the big bad in the book. They changed it to Top Dollar for the movie, probably because Top Dollar is a cool name for a villain boss.

The comic this is based on was written by James O'Barr. He'd had a horrible life until he met his girlfriend, who inspired him to be better and served as a bright spot for him. However, as she was walking home one night she was killed by a drunk driver. Barr made The Crow as his expression of rage and grief at her loss.

Hey Petty Pumpkins, I wanted to express a huge thank you for reacting to The Crow! It's such an iconic movie, and hearing your take on it was genuinely awesome. I'm thrilled that you enjoyed it too. I'd be really interested to see your reactions to the sequel, The Crow: City of Angels, starring Vincent Perez and Mia Kirshner. I know there was some initial skepticism from fans when it was announced back in 1996, but they really did justice to Brandon's legacy by crafting a whole new storyline while also tying up loose ends from the first film. If you're game, there are a couple more films in the franchise worth exploring, though I understand they might not be everyone's cup of tea. The Crow: Salvation, featuring Eric Mabius and Kristin Dunst (who we know you're fans of), delivers its own poignant messages. Then there's The Crow: Wicked Prayer, with Edward Furlong taking on the role. While I don't recall it as vividly, it's still an intriguing addition to The Crow series. It's fascinating to see how each installment brings its own unique story to the forefront. And of course, a heartfelt tribute to Brandon Lee. His presence is truly felt throughout these films, and his departure was a loss felt deeply by many. Can't wait to catch more of your reactions! Keep up the fantastic work.

Brandon Lee is the son of martial artist Bruce Lee. Brandon Lee tragically got fatally wounded due to a prop gun with a piece of left over blank bullet residue, the crew thought Brandon was playing joke when scene was over and when he was laying on the floor he wasn’t moving but when they got closer they saw it was serious and rushed Brandon Lee to the hospital, the doctors did everything they could but it was too late Brandon Lee passed away at the age of 28. Some scenes aren’t Brandon it’s his body double Chad Stahelski, Chad is the director of the John Wick franchise and also Keanu Reeves stunt double in the matrix movies. The director of The Crow Alex Proyas had too cut and add new scenes for the movie because of happened to Brandon. They also CGI Brandon Lee face on too Chad face and the makeup artist made a face mask of Brandon face for chad to wear. All scenes were they don’t show Brandon Lee face it’s Chad Brandon was supposed get married to his fiancée Eliza Hutton after The Crow finished filming. After Brandon was supposed to get married Brandon was going to a sign a two-year deal to continue The Crow storyline. The Crow is comic book/graphic novel created by James O'Barr. Before entering the Marines, O'Barr's fiancée Beverly had been killed by a drunk driver. While living in Berlin in 1981, O'Barr began work on his comic The Crow as a means of dealing with his personal tragedy. O'Barr was further inspired by a Detroit newspaper account of the murder of a young couple over a $20 engagement ring. In The Crow, the protagonist, Eric and his fiancée Shelly are murdered by a gang of criminals. Eric then returns from the dead guided by a supernatural crow, to hunt their killers. The city is supposed be Detroit Michigan but the movie was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina After his discharge from the Marines O'Barr continued his painting and illustration as well as doing various odd jobs. The Crow sat on a shelf for seven years but at last he found a publisher with Gary Reed of Caliber Press. The first miniseries was published in 1989. The Crow has since sold more than 750,000 copies worldwide. Also the crow has the best soundtrack ever, the soundtrack has bands like The Cure, nine inch nails. Stone temple pilots, Pantera, Rage Against the machine etc. The Crow score is amazing as well the score is composed by Graeme Revell After Eric rescues and saves Sarah, a character in the comic Skull cowboy appears and tells Eric that he has to stay and live his life in the mortal world because he saved Sarah’s life. Tony Todd the OG Candyman plays the main villain top dollar sidekick. Officer Albrecht is played by actor Ernie Hudson from ghost busters 2. Lastly I’ll say is The Crow (1994) is my 3rd favorite movie of all time. There will be a new Crow movie starring Bill Skarsgård as Eric Draven rumor to be released late this year or next year.

Wes saying (of the two bad guys firing it up): "you're honestly making me feel so exhausted" is such a vibe. This movie is so full of sadness, darkness, and despair (WITHOUT taking into account Brandon Lee's tragic and untimely death) that watching exhausts me. I love it but I can't watch it just any old time because it's so depressing. It's hard to overstate just how important this movie was/is. It goes without saying Brandon Lee's passing impacted the film and the lives of everyone who was involved in it, but it really became an incredible part of the 90s era. A lot of people don't realize that the Wachowski sisters took a LOT of inspiration from this movie when they wrote and directed the Matrix. When you watch it again you'll notice a lot of moments where they paid tribute to Brandon and the stylistic elements of this movie. The rooftop run was used for Trinity's escape in the Matrix. There are even camera pans that almost identical. Good art should inspire good art, and this movie inspired a lot. It could even be argued that we might not have movies and characters like the Joker or Deadpool if The Crow hadn't been made.

I'm in love with this movie since i was a teen. James O'Barr the author created the Crow to succumb his grief for his lost girlfriend who died in a car accident with a drunk driver, but he didn't succeed, he is still griefing from the loss. The main character is the crow, not the person, she gaves the powers. She gaves super natural strength and speed, also the imortality and also some sort of shadow melt, thats why Eric could disappear in a second. He can use his powers for other causes like healing Sarahs mother from her heroin addiction, but he looses his powers for a short time, thats why he is more bandaged up throughout the movie, if you look close enough. If the crow gets hurt, he looses his powers. Considering that this movie was made in the 90th.. it was way ahead of it times. I would guess, that Brandon would be a superstart right now, if he woulden't had been killed while filming it. For note, the actor of Funboy was the person who killed him accidentally, and he had a severe trauma until his end of his live, including several therapys because of that. The Crow is one of the most tragic films ever made, because of all the circumstances that happend over all. And for note: DON'T watch the sequels or the serie they are sh*t, they all spoil the heritage of Brandon and the original film. ;)

This original film is the best in the series. Part 2 is the best of the sequels, in my opinion. I hope you check it out eventually.

Ugh I had to quote the whole film in this movie top dollar gives me Antonio interview with the vampire vibes but worse, Brandon Lee is unmatched beautiful In every way , and this first film can't be remade I get he comics are great and I adore the TV series you should also watch but...should not be remade Brandon is the crow and I still enjoy the sequels and wicked prayer but labeling as a remake for views is wrong. Hope yall check out the TV series and wicked prayer campy fun. And BTW the white cop wasn't jealous he was racist yall to wholesome for that lol

Only sequel that held its own was The Crow Salvation I'd love to see you watch that one. The TV series was a remake but it was kinda silly. Good part in that was the actors.

The 2nd movie is not BAD, the Sarah character is back and grown up in it, and it’s visually great, but it’s absolutely not as good as this one. Also, there is a whole episode of Unsolved Mysteries that covers exactly how Brandon died, which is heartbreaking.

All the the methods that Eric used to end his enemies are using their thing against them, Tin Tin's knives, funboy got an od by being injected into his heart, T-Bird got blown up, and Skank got a simple end. Also Brandon said in an interview during filming that this quote was a major inspiration for the role of Eric. "Because we don't know when we will die, we get to think of life as an inexhaustible well. Yet everything happens only a certain number of times, and a very small number really. How many more times will you remember a certain afternoon of your childhood, an afternoon that is so deeply a part of your being that you can't even conceive of your life without it? Perhaps four, five times more, perhaps not even that. How many more times will you watch the full moon rise? Perhaps 20. And yet it all seems limitless." And this idea has been sharply brought into focus for Eric. Also if you want to find out what became of Sarah, you could do a reaction to the second movie, 'The Crow: City of Angels'

The first 2 sequels: City of Angels and Salvation, are pretty good in my opinion, but the 3rd sequel - Wicked Prayer is really bad. City of Angels follows a grown-up Sarah and a new man who becomes the Crow. Salvation has Kirsten Dunst and Fred Ward and features all-new characters. The Crow in that one is Eric Mabius, who was in the first Resident Evil movie. Top Dollar (the big bad at the end) is Michael Wincott. He's played bad guys in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Disney's the # Musketeers (With Kiefer Sutherland, Oliver Platt, Tim Curry, and Charlie Sheen.)

Brandon Lee was so gorgeous and talented he would have been a huge movie star if not for the tragedy. I have loved this movie since I was a kid, it's still one of my favorite movies. And let me just say his eyes omg love his eyes so much

I screamed! Thank you so much. I love this film! R.I.P. Brandon Lee. I'm not gonna lie, I do not have a lot of faith in the upcoming remake but I'm trying to stay cautiously optimistic because I really want to be wrong!

Pains me to have to say this but I had to lend this film to a friend of mine who had never seen it, he loved it! An amazing film that deserves to be known as a cult classic but its so very sad what happened to Brandon on set. Rest well both Bruce and Brandon
