91...is there another player on the OIL willing to hit to hurt? ...among the forwards? My mystifying thing: leaving Holloway to languish with McLeod? And rewarding Janmark with 29/91 time. I know both players have zero points. But don't we already know what Janmark is. Doesn't Woody want to know what Holloway can be? The logic baffles me.

Concerning the too many men penalties. They were so close to several more. I guess when you’re so used to McDavid getting his number called to do EVERYTHING it’s startling to have yours called. Sort that shit out ffs! The attention to detail by this team is amateurish!

I remember 2017 and they kept saying -we’re not worried, there’s lots of time left in the season - It’s a long season - etc Until the season was over and they were NOT in the playoffs. As Colorado and LVK go undefeated.

This is squarely on the coaches. There is apparently no defensive scheme at all. Giant steps backward are being made with this team. Where are the coaches giving the shut-down order of team play? Do they have any idea of how to defend? The line change penalties are indicative of poor coaching. This team is headed for the basement quickly if you can't get professional hockey players playing systems. My God, this is what they do for a living! What do they do at practices? Other teams with far less talent seem to be able to execute defence. Why not the Oilers?

How many goals against has bouchard been involved in this year? I do agree that it's mostly individual errors that are this teams downfall but it's the same players most of the time. I'd rather not have his power play glory if that means his 4 bad defensive plays that lead to goals against are gone with him.

Most teams in the league collapse to the front of the net when they have a breakdown, the Oilers last night scatter to the boards leaving a ridiculously high number of wide open grade A slot chances! I would still take Klim over Brown, Janmark, Ryan, or Erne...terrible offseason for Mr. Holland, this team hasn't improved it's regressed. Maybe Bouch should play wing and D only on powerplays...he is the direct cause of far to many goals against!

Unless people expected McDavid getting a hat-trick, him being out of the lineup is irrelevant. Our team also has a propensity in destroying goalies confidence and I don't think having the best goalie in the league would produce a different result. I miss Larsson.

Embarrassing, just absolutely disgusting play. The game is 60 minutes. There’s a few things that need to happen here and it starts in goal. In fact it starts w Dustin Schwartz. He needs to be FIRED. You’re going to tell me that the Oil have had consecutive after consecutive “bad goaltending” it’s the goalie coach 100%. Or atleast he plays a major role. Second thing for the love of god call a spade a spade. The D is atrocious. Common narrative with other NHL teams, coaches and players. The Oils D is weak and the goaltending is dog shit.

If they can't defend why are we paying Nurse $9M? Bouchard is a disaster. Trade Nurse and Bouchard. There's at least $13M freed up. There are too many things wrong with this team. I'd love to have a team like Minny.

Players that seem to constantly fight the puck & or give up shooting positions to meaninglessly move outside to get rubbed off the puck: McLeod (worst) Holloway, Kane (was good in other areas today) Nuge, even Drai today. Probably others. Foegle usually does this but then he proved why it’s worth shooting today ffs! Infuriating to watch.

some players gave team a chance -(Foeg Campb Kane etc) & that was impressive - a Win would have been a massive boost. but has been obvious for a long time GM has been coasting/lazy and GM/Coach are not able to assess personnel or get players where they need to be to defend-battle & 'take space away' -watching from several feet away so often. -need to work on getting BobN out as doesn't seem to care about the depth of problem & why would he?

I thought the Oilers looked good through the first 2 periods they were physical they were fast they were pushing the pace the Wild were doing good as well but Oilers were owning most of the play. THen the 3rd period started and it all fell apart.

I'm not a big proponent of constantly firing coaches but it is something to start considering. Woody is starting to really remind me of his predecessors Tippett and McLellan. We lost to Vegas in large part due to being outcoached. This year, the line combinations have been baffling to say the least (Janmark in the top 6, Erne in the line up etc.). Changing the entire defensive zone structure when we have been consistently making the playoffs does not make any sense. Why wasn't it just tweaked and improved? Why the complete overhaul?

Deharnais ceci kulak broberg bouchard are all third pairing D .Nurse is a number 4 D nowwhere near a number one .Both goalie are awful they cant make big saves or timely saves or steal a game weak goal 1 or 2 time à game every game.

This group wasn't able to win even with McD, so I don't know why they could now. I'm an Oiler fan and a huge hockey fan, It's just that I love reality even more. Some of those D men are far better forwards then D men. That doesn't work out well to often. Campbell tonight in the second was just about the luckiest person I ever saw. It was like 40 years worth of luck in 6 mins. But that can't be expected to last can it. Brain cramps galore and 3 to many men penalty's?? Some of that is flat out on the coach, yet again. Lol, ouch!

They should have traded Kulak and re-signed Kostin at the very least knowing they have Broberg. But they would still need more, Bjugstad as well but when you handicap your cap space in places they shouldn’t this is the problem you end up with. They need a better GM. They got too soft, meaning hard work, players of size and skill who play with grit. Kostin brought it and you need those lunch pail players.
