I used to play this tape over and over when it came out. Everyone says “ love “ is their best record. Electric is my favorite though. Start to finish. 🍻

I love this song! Great playing, I like hearing how you embellish things. Have you ever thought of looking for isolated tracks for some of these songs so that you don’t have to play over top of the guitarist in the band? I would love to hear your guitar more clearly, but sometimes it gets a bit lost for me in the mix.

Well that's why I often fiddle sometimes at the beginning before a track begins, or I add my own stuff. To prove I am playing. So I feel I don't need to isolate. If it looks like I'm playing perfectly on top and you can't tell, well then I take that a compliment I am in sync and sitting right in the mix with the band. That's how I like to feel. Like I'm just jamming with the guys. I don't want to do that isolate track thing, then add that pressure, then do 50 takes because I botched it way too many times, or fell off etc. AT least here, I can find my place again, get back on track. My goal is to look like I might be faking it, because I'm right on top. lol JK Then again, if you see me playing, even if my guitar was turned off, it still shows clearly I can play it and I'm actually doing it lol But really, I just like to sit right in the mix or sometimes just slightly louder. But clearly, when you see my veer off and do my thing, I'm clearly playing lol This way, again, you don't have to CARRY the band and have that added pressure. I'm here for fun man. Just banging them out and that's how I keep getting better and better, taking more risks, getting better at solos and trying out some really challenging riffs and songs. You've followed me enough to see my progress. And I'm someone who just does it for fun, and maybe learns a song in a single night, then the next night I might record it. My learning speed has really increased. I don't "practice" so much, as I just play and going from song to song, keeps things fun and addicting. I'm already on to the next song. Tonight, riff practice, watch a lesson video and then I just JAM, over and over. Sometimes just pressing play on the song and figuring out as you go, and hitting repeat a few times. Then take a break, let it sink in, muscle memory, sleep on it, and come back the next night and work on it some more. On average I Can put out a song and learn a cover in 2 or 3 days. Minus the solo lead work of course. lol I will often just roll with it and wing it. Again, I can mess around in the right boxes and pentatonic scale to at least play along. I'll never be a shredder or speed guy. So I just jam. Keep it fun man! I look forward to your next cover! Like this cult song is clearly not hard. a few chords. Very basic. But it's still fun and just jamming and staying in time. So I put a little more effort in getting the basics of the solo down. Keep rocking man! Check out some of my other recent ones. I've been on an 80s roll. Stay tuned for more!

Like this song was easy. This was nothing. Go watch the Shotgun Messiah I did before this. I love songs like that because they are workhorses! No breaks. Riffage like crazy. And yes that took more time, riff after riff, until it all sunk in. So check that out. Tell me that's not cool and fun to get through. Then go check out the RATT song, DEF LEPPARD solo instrumental, and the SLASH song. That was tough for my brain to get under my fingers at first, now it comes easy, it's crazy. I go from I can't do this, to eventually locking it in with muscle memory. To me, these are things I thought a few years ago, would never be able to play.
