Though I haven't watched all of Mystery Incorporated in _years_ so my memory may be wrong on that

It basically confirms that the gang was always supposed to get together, despite what the entity told them, meaning out of all the mystery crews, the new Mystery Inc. was the only one with love pure enough to never truly been controlled by the entity. I remember reading that Mr. Peaches (Lodge's mascot) died because of poor health and that's why Oswald disbanded that group. Honestly, I think it ended perfectly, allowing us to presume that this is a prequel to the Original show. A continuation would have required something drastic and honestly, might not have topped off the ending of Season 2. Because of that, leading it into the Original show is rather fitting and fun.

​@@pershing3346Regarding this show being a prequel to the original series, that can be both true and not true actually. Why? Well, basically it is implied that most of the classic monsters were already trapped and umasked by our Mystery Gang, Velma's parents has an exhibition for them. A lot of thinks have happened already from the og series. Even the added characters that were placed there to improve ratings, like Flim Flam and Scrappy Doo. Although, later in the OG series the Mystery Gang is traveling around the country on the Mystery Machine. So, that part has to be after the Mystery Incorporated series, because they're no longer in High School and are out there solving mysteries everywhere (not only Crystal Cove).

While it is hard to explain why they would be scared of monsters they had already defeated, I chalk it up to these being the same masks but different people. That is why they are scared because they know that it won't play out the same. Of course I could be mistaken or because s3 was cancelled they rushed with an open end and the cheering is just the film crew celebrating their work.

By this point we know Fernando El Aguirre hide one piece on the Spanish galleon (Their ship) and gave the other pieces to his men. So how did one of conquistadors end up with 2?
