I kinda wish it wasn’t, I beat the whole game and got platinum, BUT hearing his ideas on nemesis being out to get you while carlos can be like hunk who gos ape shit crazy on so much monsters, (No lie, I prefer the 2nd stage Nemesis and hunter to the original) While Jill who has a good share of action is still on the lookout. Hell it be awsome to have Nemesis in the sewers and facility in search for Jill.

Too bad the guys in Capcom decided that a Nemesis dog was more dangerous than Nemesis stalker. And having a nightmare sequence as a DLC or side game could have worked to show how zombification would have felt

Backseat Game Development there was a PC mod of 2 where you could switch to an FPS mode and it was seamless. I know the games were developed in tandem so I’m doubtful the devs saw the mods and then went back and added FPS just for fun. I feel like they’re going to add a gimmick, I just can’t tell what from only the trailers. Any theories or hopes?

If my theory / dream of them having a section with injected Jill hallucinating is true, that makes the most sense to play around with seeing things that aren’t real, since we would be in her point of view. After all the part of the trailer that has her seeing things is also first person. I guess that’s my stab at it! Doesn’t explain that the same trailer seems to show first person stuff in what could be the start of the game, though.

RE3 1999 May have had a rushed development cycle compared to RE2 1998. But, RE3 1999 still turned out to be an excellent game that's actually pretty unique compared to RE1 1996 and RE2 1998. Stuff like being completely set during Raccoon City, barely any sewers, no secret underground lab, live story selections, built in RNG systems, and introducing Mercenaries to the franchise. RE3 Remake 2020 is an absolute gutted and even more lazily rushed game. Everything that made RE3 1999 unique and special are gone. 5/10, wait for deep sale for RE3 2020. As for RE3 1999, I played it after 100% RE3 2020 and it might be my favorite of the entire PS1 trilogy. I do like the story, characters, and music better in RE2 1998, but man does RE3 have excellent gameplay and beautiful graphics.

They cut out the choices, streamlined the story and removed certain parts to separate it more from 2, and kept Carlos as a supporting character with his own dedicated missions to fill in the gap for Jill's recovery. I don't really see any of these changes as problems, only that what Capcom chose to charge for it was ridiculous.

12:13 Well yeah. They have seen everything. None of the choices they make matter in the long run. They all lead to the same conclusion. It is nice to be able to progress in more ways than just one way, but in the end they aren't missing out on anything by not replaying it. Walking Dead was really cool the first time playing it. A second play through revealed to me how terribly limited the game really is and changed my opinion of it being good to bad. Mind you, I would not have tried playing it through a second time if the save file didn't get deleted somehow.

What a great idea to split up Jill and Carlos in two seperate campaigns. Sure, nothing new. But a way better idea as the developers had. I thought about felt everything. But not about that. Cool! :D And do you know what? You surely know this "new" Sonic movie. The producers remade the whole movie because the fans didn't like the look of Sonic. After the new release the movie was great and loved. So I'm sure Capcom can do this too with the RE3R. Even if we have to wait another year, I would accept it to get a great game and I also would buy it for the full price if it's good like it have to be.

Code Veronica X was originally planned to be RE 3. I think is important to mention low sales for REmake and Zero (Nintendo exclusives for over 10 years) also influenced RE 4 turning to action, I have heard Mikami wanted to remake 2 and 3 at first.

I've been reading about this confusing development phase for RE and it seems that the game that carried the name RE3 first was the Hideki Kamiya project for the PS2. That's the game that, due to its huge departure from the RE formula, became Devil May Cry later on. After a decision to benefit Capcom's fiscal year at the time, Mr. Aoyama's Gaiden project became RE3, leaving the development team little time to make the game feel like less of a spinoff. Areas like the park and the dead factory were expanded. As a result, Mr. Kamiya's project got the RE4 codename. Code Veronica was always Code Veronica, a gift for Sega fans after the failed RE2 Saturn port. Jill Valentine was supposed to be the lead though. But since Mr. Kamiya secretly chose and included the ending for RE2 (Claire saying "I have to find my brother."),the Code Veronica writers decided to continue Claire's story instead, leaving Jill Valentine available for RE3 Nemesis.

From what I've read... The original RE3 PS1 was supposed to be a new Kamiya game starring Hunk on another mission for Umbrella on a cruise ship. But, with the announcement of the PS2. Capcom scrapped Hunk's game and Kamiya went on to work on RE4, a build which layer became Devil May Cry 1. Both Nemesis and Code Veronica were both apparently never intended to be the 3rd number RE. Both were meant to be spin offs and Capcom picked Nemesis as they had a deal with Sony to complete a number Trilogy on PS1. Code Veronica was built for the Sega Dreamcast.

Impressive video, but a lot of the points you made in this video are misconceptions taken from a poor journal that has a lot of assumptions and interpretation and no facts, the only thing he confirmed is one true ending. Spiders, crows, worms, and live selection have not been confirmed nor denied given the wording in that article is not from the developers answering questions, but the journalist himself. Furthermore Nicholai does have a purpose that you learn in the "Bad" ending, it's not amazing but it's a lot more than nothing you claim it to be.

Nicholai might be my favorite human antagonist of the franchise. You can say he's a lot like Albert Wesker in the original, but Nicholai actually succeeds and achieves his goals. All without needing to die and become a virus enhanced mutant too. RE3 2020 Nicholai is a joke and stupid. Very badly done though the voice actor was good.
