I’d like to believe James Dean may have “defeated” or at least wounded the original Horned Serpent (Washington) in such a way that as a helmet it’s more symbolic that “the horned serpent lives”, he’s basically taken up the honorary mantle of Horned Serpent in this new universe, imposing his godlike will upon it. The weird insistence on determinism in the video leaves me to believe that Dean is just no different, he was always destined to be ripped from his home universe, be gifted with immense power and charisma over the new and inevitably arrive in the Nixonverse because it’s the only logical course of action as this bizarre eldritch creature he’s seem to become.

@Callahan1998 I don't think so, I think the carcrash was shown to imply that he somehow survived it by being like that or something. Also, the title "last son of Alcatraz" would make sense because the people in the Deanverse had their cells replaced by Alcatraz. This also might be implied here because they say that he has different cells from everyone. But, in the end, I'm not sure either.

@@leoseling4413 The video was meant to clue us into Dean's death in the Nixonverse, to show us that we are in fact no longer in the Deanverse. Really hammering on the free will aspect here. Did the other universe have free will? Is everything set in motion the way it has to be? How does that notion of an in universe predetermination change when an outside agent gets involved? Someone not accounted for in the predetermined formula? Is the Knight a wrench thrown into the machine, or did the machine expect the wrench to be thrown in so that it could function properly? You've opened a whole new line of thought. A new way to approach the series. This new plot line opens up so much more existentially than it already did prior, which is a remarkable feat. It's so mind-bending, and you continue to manage to bend our minds past the point of brittle failure. It truly is amazing to witness such an impressive narrative play out.

Interesting that the first video of the Nixonverse was called "the Last Son of Alcatraz," in reference to Superman, "The Last Son of Krypton." And now this video is called "the D-Day Knight," maybe as a reference to Batman, the Dark Knight? Considering that both of these videos have had the given genre of "analogue superhorror" it's safe to assume that the classic superhero allusions will likely continue. Non meta things aside, I think we can safely conclude that whatever this being is, a remnant of the Horned Serpent, or James Dean, or both of them, or neither, it seems likely that the images of it as some kind of superman figure are doctored, they look nothing like the helmet. They seem to be propaganda possibly spurred on by the superhuman being itself. Side note, that helmet looks like a human or human-adjacent skull with pieces of bone from some strange creature, possibly the Horned Serpent. EDIT: If you notice, the helmet of the "Knight" actually looks like a stretched out tricorn... like one formerly George Washington Horned Serpent. Did this creature kill the Horned Serpent and is now wearing its bones? Has Dean, or whatever it is taken up the mantle of the Horned Serpent, hence "the horned serpent lives?"

One thing I find interesting is that while what we dub "SuperDean" in Last Son of Alcatraz has obvious parallels to Superman, but the D-Day Knight has parallels to Batman, this leads me to think that these two are not the same character, but formed out of similar circumstances (The Horned Serpent's destructions) EDIT: To add to this, should my theory be correct, it would be very interesting to see if SuperDean and D-Day Knight end up battling or at least a Superman/Batman rivalry.

So what I 'm getting from this video, is that this was SoA (son of Alcatraz's) first appearance in the Nixonverse. The last video was an introduction to the new setting, an overview about the different world and its main differing factor, Dean dead and SoA's presence. The later narration implied a developing fear of SoA, how he fought alongside americans at first, but might one day conquer the US. But in this video he showed up fresh from the Deanverse's apocalypse to Nixonverse on D Day, wearing the trophy of his first kill, the hollowed skull of Hanodgears. It got knocked off right away, and he focused on saving lives of americans instead of retrieving it. That's how it ended up buried and eventually excavated by Nixonverse historians. His first nickname by the general public was that of the D-Day Knight, which mirrors Batman's "Dark Knight" title. Just guessing at this point, but I think that might mean the next couple of videos might reference the Flash and Wonder Woman. Maybe his title in this universe isn't Superman, but Wonderman. Following on the nameplay, perhaps another intervention involves him using super speed and that earns him the moniker of "The Blur". Speculation aside, I'm curious to see where this goes, and if it goes wrong somehow. Because right now, SoA is a benevolent savior to the American people. If someone was later afraid of him, was there good reason, or was there a Lex Luthor to SoA's Superman? A man hellbent on destroying him out of a personal vendetta, or inferiority complex.

So James Dean (or someone from the Deanverse) survived the destruction of the Earth and the Horned Serpent long enough to grab the Horned Serpent's severed head and turn it into a transdimensional helmet, and now moved to the Nixonverse to try to do good?

I didn’t even think about that that could be a good way to separate the both of them
@mattmetawolf86342 жыл бұрын
And it pretty much stops the idea of them being the same character because James Dean if it really is him he’s pretty much fighting back and they did say that there were survivors on the other side of Wonderland who were basically members of the great divide so the corner folk might be for all intensive purposes newly transformed super humans living in a corner world but the strongest out of all of them might also be James Dean who is so close to the primorial source that he’s probably just as strong if not stronger than this horned serpent George Washington but we’ll have to wait and see Alex gorgeous say that both of these guys are different

@@mattmetawolf8634 It seems like Dean's abilities all can stem from moving through the corner world. Changing shape, flying, that all can be explained as him moving through corners in such a way as to fold himself precisely in the way he needs to.

Kal-el having a goth phase, I see. Jokes aside, if the helmet is to be believed, then the photo of the knight with his arms outstretched may actually be him wearing the helmet instead. Makes me wonder if his body is all kinds of jacked up and the silhouettes are deceiving.
