They played for about 2 1/2 hrs, several encores (we wouldn't accept that the "last" song was the last and were all shouting "encore" at the top of our lungs until they would come back out again and again) basically every song from their 3 albums. And they were incredible-the energy of a freight train locomotive, tight as shit and at the same time loose and relaxed.

So loud that you could feel it through your body, Rat was an arse stomping maniac, Paul Gray grinding out the bottom end, Dave the Dark Overlord incarnate, and the Captain was beyond description incredible-Strat/Marshall cranked to 11, his tone was roaring when he played chords and a soaring wail during solos which were even better than those on their records. I've seen a (very) few other performances that were on par with that evening, but I swear that show was like a religious experience!

First time was at this tiny club called Network out in Long Island NY, second was a few weeks later at the original Lamours...they didn't even gig in Manhattan on that tour. That first show at Network was one of the most amazing rock shows ever performed by any group anywhere anytime. They were so on it was sick-they stomped for over two hours, several encores...magic was present that evening.
