i remember seeing a video about how "nerdy" stuff wasn't the norm back in the days and thus bullies exist to push those ideas, "ew anime? why can't you just be into marching band!" but since it is now cool for everyone to be into "nerdy" stuff, even the bullies are now into it. hence why there has been a rampant cases of superiority, entitlement and just straight up bullying in fandom spaces "ew, that anime? why can't you just watch this instead!". my explanation didn't do justice for the video and i sadly lost it, it's still an interesting peak to the possible reasons on why these are happening

Yeah, I've seen that explanation and variations before, and it feels so real. After all, after the pandemic people from all over the world started to be more online, however, instead of joining the internet and accepting how it worked (sure, not everything was good, but it was a lot more friendly), its like they took everything, didn't try to understand anything and proceed to transform the place into whatever it is today. Something that made me notice how little people know it's how, just months ago, I was watching TV with my family, and people were talking about out version of Big Brother, and specifically about shipping the people there, however they were talking about shipping (that exact word, which grab my attention because I'm not from a english-speaking country) as "oooh they're such good friends". They were paid to pay attention to social media and how it works. Then I don't remember what my mom said about shipping but I gave her a confused look bc she was also taking it as "good friends", and she just guessed that I never have heard of this word and started to explain me of how this "new word" functioned. 2000s internet raised me and this is what I live with now, dang. I get they're not the typical people found in fandoms but still.

YES! He’s one of if not my favorite toon to play as! I got into an argument w/ a Goob abt how he’s not as good as pebble. Some of the reasons why he’s bad went as “Does he have bark? No. Can he see items? No.” Like, I tried saying that he’s not a bad toon just cuz your play style prefers someone else, okay? He doesn’t suck because someone’s better. That’s like saying That Boxten is 100% worse cuz his passive is better than Toodle’s active, or that he’s worse and Toodles is the only one out of the two that has somewhat good stats. It’s all abt playstyle, and YES, I did get hit cuz I didn’t look around the corner when Sprout was trying to hand me Boxten, but it’s been 5 floors since and I’m just as good as a distractor as you bud😭

I've been mainly in the object show community and cookie run community for a while now, so I didn't really know that fandoms changed THIS MUCH over the past few years. The first time I saw an example of it was fpe or welcome home. It was honestly pretty baffling to me that people just didn't get along most of the time (keyword MOST) like how I'm used to. regarding the criticism that Looey doesn't fit in with the rest of the cast, i'm just going to say that yeah, of course he doesn't. he's new. when you've become so familiar with the characters, any new addition is going to feel a little out of place at first. i'd imagine the reason this isn't the case with Connie was because prior to her release, we already got a lot of information on her, contrary to Looey. overall i think my boy has been robbed by this fandom PLEASE give him a chance i love him dearly

As a DW-TikTok user, I actually really enjoyed Looey. Like I thought he was really silly and cute. People liked him too before the update, but now everyone hates him. It doesn't make sense! Looey is one of my favourite toons. His design is so endearing to me for some reason. Plus, his ability and stats are so good. Personally, I really like the new animation style but, I can understand why some people don't as it's quite different to the style we are used to but I think once the other toons get the new animations, people will slowly get used to it. Also, I get that Indie projects have more expensive merch but $53 AUD including shipping for 1 small keychain plush is just too pricey for me personally. All I can hope for is that the plushies will come to places like Target like a few other Roblox games have done with their merch.

And his design isn't even half bad! I’ve been in the fandom and have been playing the game (on and off when I first started) for a bit before the Gigi update (I think, I can’t remember) but I never realized that people hated looey, when I first found out about it, I thought it was because of the requirements, like- getting poppy’s mastery, and I say that because of the amount of ‘No starter’ runs I’ve encountered, those runs being the only reason I had shrimpo when I first started playing, because of those runs and like- we were all starters at one point and time, you don’t just join the game and buy a main immediately, you work and play and survive more and more floors as you get used to using certain characters (like, toodles, or maybe even a starter) and you get that characters mastery and slowly work your way up towards getting a main. If it was that easy to just walk in and get a main, then it wouldn’t be as fun, sure it can be annoying when someone dies on floor one or two or some early floor, but they might be still learning the controls and how to play and stuff like that

Had this one boxten stand by the elevator the whole time and ask “are you guys even going to do anything” while I was at 2 hp being chased by both flutter and finn while the other boxten couldn’t finish any machines. You've got a few points there but here's my personal opinion Looey: Looey is a great character, unique, cool. But I'd prefer he looks more like a balloon animal like how you draw him Merch: I personally think the plushies are overpriced for a "blind bag", What if you're looking for a specific character and don't have the money for the collectors edition? You'd basically have to start gambling in hopes you get the one you want without wasting money on duplicates. What I would have HOPED for in the store, is you could either buy the plushies individually for a little extra OR you could buy the blind bag for a bit less since you're gambling anyways. My issue with the prices are not only the blind bags being so expensive with no guarantee of the one you want, but you have to remember that this Fandom ALSO contains kids in it, and Kids don't exactly have jobs or lots of money, so how would they expect to try and buy these tiny keychains when they're worth so much? Most blind bags and keychains you see at Walmart and stuff are usually around 5 bucks from the small ones I've bought in the past, I'd never spend that much for a Dandy's keychain that I'm not even sure if I'm going to get Shelly or not. The moment Looey came out, my sibling and I were immediately Looey lovers. Sure the animation was very new and it'll take a while for others to get used to, but MY GOD. I LOVE THIS BALLOON. twisted form of looey, he's a c o m m o n. it's suspected that he's not going to be heavily deformed unlike a rare or a main for a reason, and i find the design clever with decapitating him and letting it just hang onto a thread like a carnival helium balloon.

I adore Looey, he's my absolute favorite. It really sucks seeing how much people hate him. Also, it's pretty stupid when people say that they he like an oc, like they said gigi looked like an oc- they literally ARE ocs... and they can't magically pull new ideas out of nowhere forever. Plus, his design seems intentionally different from the others. In the game he is literally pointed out to be paranoid about others not liking him. His toon card straight up says, "... Remember others aren't laughing at you! They're laughing with you."

I want to get into the game, but honestly, the gameplay itself is mid and boring. I've been trying to get into it for litteral months. I love the character designs, it's why I still try to play. They are so cool and unique and cute. But when the gameplay itself is what you spend 90% of time on is the most repetitive, boring, and shallow system ever, comparable to artifact farming in genshin, I really don't see why it's as popular as is. I have teagan, cosmo, Tisha and toodles, and as much as I want coonie or goob I just can't force myself to like it. Again, the farming and grinding system is so tedious. You can enjoy the game, i think the characters themselves are great and the developers are doing a great job, I just can't enjoy the game no matter how hard i try.
