I'm thankfully one of the self taught artists that encourage new artists and offer them tips and tricks I wish I knew when I was just starting out. Be constructive, don't tear them down. Instead your goal should be to see new artists fully surpass your skill level and reach new heights.

So damn true. I was never good at art, but I really want to be good at it and don't have the experience to do so and next year I'm going to really learn hard, but when I post it I'm scared that people like my art.

13:24 listening to this part reminded me of this show I watched recently, the good place, and spoilers for anyone who hasn’t watched it (which I highly recommend watching before coming across any spoilers as it does change the experience you have) In the show the main characters of the show are basically in hell and listening to this made me realise how the good place not only showed how the main characters in question were bad people in some way but also how they didn’t really deserve the punishment of they were given due to multiple reasons from unintended consequences, the settings they were raised in and even just how severe punishments were for less serious actions which really questioned what makes a person good or bad. I think this was something hazbin hotel was missing, maybe with angel dust for example it could show how since he was born into a mafia family he had no choice to do anything but participate which while shows how he has committed crimes asks if it was completely his fault or if the life he was born into limited his ability to learn how to be good.

Ive never been a huge Piece maker, often making simple and nice things as a main hobby Yet i still feel like i get so overshadowed by Everything, now matter how well ive done. I may as well not exist with my Art

Im so glad you made this video, I got into psycho cuties but felt that the relationship between those two was creepy and every time I saw a post about psycho cuties there was always a comment saying that the creator was a weirdo, and then another comment defending them. Now I now what’s true and false, thank you and to hell with this series.

Just thinking about the creative industry literally today is making me and everyone feel more depressed. I now worry about my future even more because I always wanted to be in the creative industry, especially animation, when I was younger - even though I always said to the older people who asked me that I wanted to be a doctor. I see AI everywhere flooding the creative spaces and even anything not related to art. I get so pissed because I don’t know if I’ll even be super happy and content in my future. I don’t even know if everyone responsible for the many creative, and actually soulful and pure effort entertainment that is shown to us through TV or movies, is paid well to make their passion actually be useful to them, to make them survive. I hate to admit it, but I’m really starting to hate the looming presence that I will be seen as useless to my own family, who has so many talents and skills actually making them survive, and here I am. Also is it just me or has 2022 just been the start of art community drama for me? It’s like it appeared outta nowhere.

Capitalism. Greed. Profit over people. Creative folk live and breathe, even in times of struggle. Finding community in real is so hard but so needed when typical places online that once hosted a multitude of creative folk an avenue for community favors shlop and content. Ai algorithms will not keep improving at the pace they have been, as it has taken a great amount of stolen data scraped from the internet to get as far as they have. Not to mention that most of the work by these "algorithms" end up being offshore labor of brown folk sifting through the data to make sure the worst of it isn't being shared to the public. A lot of these tech bro's use our assumptions based on sci fi media we've consumed about our concepts of how tech functions. These assumptions being more fiction than anything grounded in reality.

I will argue that the Angeldust and Husk issue was actually addressed, since Husk confronted him about it. After talking things out and relating to each other Angel doesn’t flirt uncomfortably with him anymore and instead the joking is a bit more tame and Husk sometimes laughs along. Overall I have fun watching Hazbin Hotel, but I do have my own gripes. My main one being Charlie’s character. I’m fine with her being naive and ignorant at first, but I wish this be acknowledged, condemned and then developed. I hope this is what is planned for future seasons and just isn’t addressed in the first one because it’s too early for it (?) I know she is likely aware that most sinners are bad, but it really doesn’t seem like it. I think she shouldn’t be protecting all sinners, but instead those that she thinks have a capacity to change/did mild sins or crimes. My other gripe is that Vaggie is kind of boring. I don’t like her. She’s kind of just sassy and aggressive, and Charlie’s gf and nothing else. I love sassy and aggressive characters, for example Bakugo. But please give your characters extra traits and quirks other than their main personality traits. Bakugo is aggressive, angry, but he has added traits like being academically and strategically smart, being a good cook, is a skilled drummer, and is very powerful. Vaggie has barley any interesting quirks. Then my last gripe is the handling of Adam and heaven. I like when media critiques the corruption that is prevalent in religion and some religious people, but I don’t think Heaven should’ve been treated as “the bad ones”. Adam is the first man, I get that the joke was that him being the first man could make him the first misogynist, especially with how the Bible was written during a time when this was accepted, but I think he instead of being written as an asshole misogynist, he could have been a funny “accidental asshole” who was just socially awkward and out of touch due to being dead and secluded in heaven for so long. He could still be the head excorcist, and an antagonist but instead of just simply hating demons because they’re demons, he could hate them because of who they are and how they fell into sin. Being the progenitor of humanity, he could be ashamed of sinners and depressed (similar to Lucifer) and sees taking them out as a Justice or putting them out of their misery. If you can tell, Adam is my favorite character purely because I found him funny and I think he had so much story potential that will unfortunately likely never be utilized.

Off topic: i love your OC design, it's so cute

I love Looey! I think he could resemble a balloon dog more and his walk could be better (no clue how, but it's definitley stiff and it can't match his speed when he gets hurt). But overall I love him, his colors, and his personality! He's fun to play, too, being both an extractor and distractor. He has his flaws, but he's a great toon. I can't understand the hate on him, he's so silly!! Honestly, I don't particularly like Connie. I don't find her too fun to play as, but I'm not hating and bashing on her. She's still a good character, just not the kind I enjoy. Seeing all the outward Looey hate sucks, if you hate Looey so bad then don't play him or redesign him personally with your own improvements rather than saying he shouldn't be in the game. Am I saying Connie shouldn't be in the game because I dislike her character and playstyle? No! I just don't play her outside of mastery. TL;DR, just because you dislike a character doesn't mean they shouldn't be in their media.

I draw for myself and the things I love so I don't have as much of an issue with all this stuff but jeez the art community sounds bad

writing a story about wrongful/unfair punishment taking place in hell becomes a whole lot harder when you become overly-emotionally attached to your characters and then just completely forget that the point of having the setting of the afterlife is that WHO THEY WERE IN LIFE *MATTERS*

Rest assured that there are people that are slowly but surely bringing creativity back from the people at GLITCH to multiple ccs with amazing art and even better hearts, i hope for you guys to not worry because it can and will come back. <3

Because it is very clear, this is only allowed to happen to anybody whom is light skinned, be they asian or european, but not darkskinned people. I blame social media algorithms for this. Only the most popular and trendy stuff go viral, this enables artists to pump out the same exact style and genre to get views. Genuine artwork does get a fraction of the recognition as the previous. So much that no one even knows that this creative works even exist.

I always try to find thing i like about an art piece, even if it's smth that isn't my taste. I've never understood the blatant hate ppl give, ESPECIALLY ppl who don't even make art.

one thing im proud of about myself is that i have never hated on a beginner artist for their artworks looking "bad". ive witnessed the croaket drama unfold, and i am so glad i havent taken part on the mockery. and i hold onto this principle of never making fun of artists, especially not beginners

I think u glossed over the context of that Dandandan fanart, b4 dat drama there's another involving splatoon character having lighter skin colour (now dont get me wrong, it still stupid). It was from there, Japan found out a list of anime characters blackwashed till de point where they hv 2 put warning for japanese internet user
