Nothing is perfect, but throwing out the entire movement instead of trying to improve it doesn't make sense to me. The pursuit of rights of all is noble and worth the effort. Thank you for the education video!

I was alive during the Anita Hill testimony, and it was polarizing! Some chastised her for "holding back one of her own". Nothing is perfect on the first go, and while I recognize the dark history behind feminism, the Suffrage Movement, the Polio vaccine, and so many other "advancements", I wonder if we should discount everything because it wasn't perfect. It's very difficult to say.

Nothing that comes from this Candace woman should be taken seriously. She works for the political party that is trying oh so hard to revert women (ALL women) back to the days of being husbands’ property-unable to bank, get a divorce in the case of domestic abuse, death in childbirth etc etc

@@hokiesuzNah. Project 2025 isn’t a secret anymore and besides, we pay attention to what you folks say to each other when you think you’re amongst friends, and all I want to know is this; if you want women back in the kitchen so bad are you going to make corporations pay men a wage an entire household can live on (especially since y’all don’t want family planning to be a thing) or are you cool with folks flat-out starving?

@@hokiesuzWe know what y’all talk about when you think you’re amongst friends. Let me ask you something; are you in favor of corporations paying men a wage an entire family can live on or (especially given the stance on family planning) are you cool with people going hungry?

As a woman born in the 1950s who experienced firsthand sexism in the office I appreciate that you are bringing the darker history of this topic to light. My mother born at the beginning of the Great depression was an ardent fighter for the rights of all people. She always taught me that I could do anything a man could do. Yet she, herself, was shut out of going to medical school because it was deemed there were too many veterans returning from fighting the WWII and that they would need places in medical school ahead of her, a mere woman. She was told that she could apply again in a few years and that she might get a place. I have always had a fire in my belly as a result of hearing this story. What is happening in the United States currently terrifies me. There is a huge movement in our country that wishes to take away all personal control a woman has for her life, her health care, and that of her children. Keep making these videos.

My mother also fought deeply and hard for the rights of people with darker skin color. After her passing I heard stories of her championing others. These were private acts that she did in defiance of the South where we lived and the people in power at the time.

I agree with Candace. I was born early 50s. Feminism today is disgusting.

Feminism was just another way of widening the tax base. It was the worst thing that ever happened to women, men and family life, in my opinion.
