Joker sarcastically asked Harvey whether he looks like a guy with a plan, but ffs he is a fucking genius and he is a guy with brilliant planning. He put the explosives in that guy's stomach, then got himself captured, made Batman break the glass window so he can get the shard, bait the cop into attacking him then taking him a hostage and detonating the explosive. And not just here, basically everywhere he has brilliant plans. In the bank robbing, he organized the thugs to kill each other and in the end only him and the other guy remains, whom "accidentaly" got killed by the bus. In the chase, he knew that Batman will appear and they'll call in helicopters, so he put the cable guys at the getaway route to disable the helicopter. He perfectly planned killing the black mob boss too, just like switching the addresses, letting Dent escape before the hospital demolition, counting on the people on 2 ships not blowing each other up so having a backup detonator. Fucking genius.

I'm not sure if he's 100% planning, or 50% planning and 50% really good at making it up as he goes.
@ScoopMeisterGeneral7 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't say he was 'counting' on one of the ships not blowing the other up, because he seemed genuinely disappointed when he realised he had to do it himself (since they kind of proved him wrong by not killing each other). But yeah, he was clearly smart enough to have a plan B. One place where his plans seem a bit dodgy to me, though, is that he made a whole string of assumptions- which fortunately for him turned out to be correct- when it came to the whole thing about blowing up Rachel and Dent, but which could have easily gone wrong for him. He assumed that Batman would go to rescue Rachel first, so he switched the addresses to trick him into rescuing Harvey instead. He assumed that the cops would get to the address too late to save Rachel. He assumed that Batman would get there in time to save Harvey. He assumed that Batman wouldn't end up getting crippled/killed in the explosion and that Harvey would also survive. To be completely honest, I think half the time he really _was_ just winging it.

Disembowell that answer was a maybe..not a true authentic answer because she was thinking that since she's a woman its obvious that she's the one whose going to get rescued and harvey is basically pleading for her love and trying to comfort her by not referring to say goodbye or I love you. Batman in my opinion fucked up bad here because it shows who he really is, if he had saved Rachel then he would've betrayed Harvey and since he let Rachel die and chose Harvey he's still being seen as a good guy by the people but harvey now knows that he is the motherfucker thats been fcking everything up

i think jokers ultimate power is his intelligence, he just knows how humans work maybe because he looking from the outside in cus clearly he isnt human, he knows just how to taunt the cop into starting a fight, he knew wayne would go to rachel instead of dent so he switched the address, he knew how to play maroni, he knew how to compose the bank job, he knew how to corrupt dent. heath u owned this role, everything, 1:55 the way he held his posture here and the way he has little spasms just makes this soo believeable and his tone when he speaks is just twisted, demented its truly enthralling it is truly sad he is gone

I believe with him telling multiple stories about his scars it comes from one of the comics (I don't remember which one) where he says if he is going to have a past he would prefer if it was multiple choice. He just makes up stories as he goes. It fits the character better to have such a mysterious past. I hope it always stays that way.

The acting in this movie was really phenomenal. Even down to Rachel just plain panicking after she realizes that Batman went for Harvey even though she thought Bruce would save her the entire time. It really makes what she says to Harvey a lot more nuanced - in a sense she's still holding out for Bruce but Harvey is about to die, so she tells him what he wants to hear.

The impact is different not many people in the world would care about any action the common man would do, but if a highly respected and idolized individual does something evil it is brought to the attention of millions. There are all these different stories flying around, and we don't even know if the Joker himself knows what really happened. @Janny Hozuki - He wasn't cuffed, you see his hands free when talking about the officers being cowards. He avoided the punch because the officer under estimated him and the weapon was a piece of broken glass which in the chaos was probably lying around. And for your later question, he doesn't torture them but just before he kills them with the blades they either act cowardly by crying etc. or non-cowardly (whatever that means). I'm not sure when exactly but he doesn't torture them per say.
