The support i have received from each of you is enormous. I will never thank you enough. The best is yet to come!! ;)
Today's video is a compilation of the dirtiest anti block that i've done with Dr Neubauer ABS over the years in official matches. 90% of them date back to when plastic ball was not there yet. Nowdays frictionless antispin requires much more skills to be used effectively.

The only true "dark side" here is the people's anger and frustration for not being able to adapt to different playing styles (long pimples, anti spin, short pimples, etc), throwing rackets and smashing stuff. Keep it up buddy

The problem is anti spin drag the game to a low level. If the other player also play with anti spin, the game will be like 2 kids playing with a very long ralley. It is like making a fight only with fists instead of swords. (Btw, anti spin users never have good techniques)

Fantastic video! After 20 years of normal rubbers, I switched to antispin (because my backhand sucks so the idea is to prepare the FH) and I am having the time of my life. Have never had this much fun with table tennis - especially since I can also sometimes twiddle and confuse my opponents! HAvne't yet played an official match, but have a tournament on Sunday and I hope to get at least one highlight similar to yours :) Thanks for the videos, they are great inspiration

Dont: heavy topspin ,underspin serve. Sidespin serve: Dont do it. but sometimes you can try heavy sidespin to ace Do: Fast Long Float ball deep into BH and then always KILL the ball ( smash or loopkill). This will force him far from the table so you can take time for the next shot. If he try to pivot, seve short float into FH or short Heavy sidespin serve. Remember Always KILL the ball. Returning with Slow topspin will eventually make you lose. Pushing will make you lose.

only in table tennis do we have such madness. In no other racquet sport (tennis, badminton, squash). We have to endure anti-spin, long pips, short pips and then there are some guys playing with dead rubbers in local tournaments. There are all kinds of rubbers available providing slightly different spin quality. We have to adjust everytime. Becomes frustrating at times.

To anyone wondering what to do against such a rubber, you need to learn how to spin less when top spinning. But you can't just drive, otherwise the opponent won't feel like he has to use his antispin rubber. So it has to look like a topspin, but you don't spin much. That way you'll be able to do the top spin > push > top spin > push until you get a high enough ball to win the point. A lot of patience is required though.

Ciao Giacomo!

What are the differences between different antis when they are supposed to be frictionless. I know that thick sponges provide more damping, are slower, which is good for blocking fast balls. @tokiemami 2 жыл бұрын
I can help answer the question. How 729 anti works is nothing like Dr. Neubauer or Der Materialspezialist anti works. It's not even close to classic anti like Butterfly super anti or Yasaka anti power. The way 729 anti (anti tuttle anti and spinlord sandwind) works it you play it like you play using premade rubber. The ball it produces is mostly no spin balls. The main difference with cheap premade rubbers is this anti will last a very long time unlike premades.
@tokiemami
@tokiemami 2 жыл бұрын
I must also add that although the ball is mostly no spin ball, this anti can produce spin, since it has frictions, albeit minimal.

In some of these cases, you block a heavy topspin, which the opponent rightfully assumes to come back as heavy backspin, they open the racket and off it goes into space, as if there was no spin on the ball. How does that work? Can you even manipulate whether it reverses or not? Because then it would really be the dark side.
@AndreaAschi
@AndreaAschi 2 жыл бұрын
The spin variation is not in my control. Antispin can only reverses what it receives. If the ball goes into space is because my opponent did a flat shot. ;)

What is your current (2022) favourite blade and sponge to use with the ABS and are you using ABS 2.0 or 2.5? How did you find the Cybershape played or is it not quite suited to reverse spin or slow down enough. Also, what is your current FH rubber and thickness? Sorry for so many questions; I want to try a few things and may switch from a slow dead blade (great reversal) to something a little faster.

Hi Andrea! Very interesting (and amusing) video! So the tactical setup was a long underspin serve to lure the opponent into heavy topspinning the return, then you blocked the topspin thereby reversing the heavy spin to underspin, which they could not handle: ball in the net or an uncontrolled lifted ball off the table. Does this still work as good with the plastic ball? What would be an effective counter? Should the opponent just avoid topspinning against an anti, e.g.play mostly without spin?
@AndreaAschi
@AndreaAschi 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Rupert! Welcome to my channel! :) Yes, my main tactic is to force my opponent to do a heavy topspin and then block short with good spinreversal. With plastic ball this scheme is less effective but it still viable, you just need to be prepared to continue the rally. What would be an effective counter? Simply try to play with as little spin as possible. Antispin would be harmless in this way. ;)

Once you beat the player with antispin, there is no way he/she can comeback to reach your level, they mostly succeed at an amateur level about its every hard for them to reach an advance level except for a few of course
