Fun story, Nikki credits Taylor for her first number 1. Taylor was doing a radio interview where they asked her what she was listening to the most right now and Taylor did a part of Nikkis song which wasn't getting much airplay at the time, the song hit number 1 that week.

loved the reaction! just wanted to share about delicate that it’s about her reputation ruining her back in 2017 but her boyfriend (at the time) was the only one who helped her as it was a private relationship. the song is about him liking her despite what the media says. the music video is about how good life would be if the media and everyone wouldn’t not judge her (hence the ignoring). the dancing is a huge part of it as it’s not really meant to be good but it’s meant to embrace the saying ‘dance like no one is watching’ showing like the better side of her which no one would appreciate at the time. also in terms of look what you made me do, the old taylor is everything prior to reputation as rep was her reinventing herself in the eyes of the media and it all reflects on the drama and media throughout the years.

The live version from the Rep tour are the best way to consume this album, but it’s good you did a clean listen first. The Eras tour footage is making the rounds right now, and that’s also good, but Rep tour footage is where most of them are the most stunning

So, “This is why we can’t have nice things” is a song about Kanye West, how they became friends after all that VMAs drama but he tried to mind trick her on the phone and back stabbed her. She basically intentionally sang this song playfully how kids would sing cuz she thought the entire thing was so childish. It was supposed to sound like it makes no sense.

@@HavenReact you should also listen to innocent on her speak now album, she wrote that song for Kanye after the vma incident because she had forgiven him. For context, years later when she had squashed everything Kanye released a song with the line, I made that bitch famous we could have sex, he also did a music video with a naked prosthetic body made to look like Taylor - basically porn. Then because Tay was upset kim releases an edited phone recording making it seem like Taylor agreed to the video and the song and of course everybody believed kim and kanye. She went into hiding for 2 years. after the whole phone debacle, it was almost 4 years before the full 28 min convo was leaked proving Taylor wasn't lying. Thank you for giving her a listen. Everything may not be your cup of tea, but you are respectful, and you have an open mind. Swifties are always appreciative when people approach her music in that way because she gets crapped on all the time usually without much reason. I can't wait to see the rest of your reactions. Also, when it comes to Taylor her stories and songwriting are usually what her fans are most interested in, so you might end up with lots of comments focused on the lore, lol just a heads up because it's a lot and can get intense. 😁

Don't blame me & king of my heart are and will always be my favorite songs on this album, especially after watching her perform it live. If you have time, you should definitely check out the live reputation tour, or at least the first few songs from this album. Her live performances are fire. Especially Ready for it, I did something bad, don't blame me and king of my heart. Also, I know you aren't as familiar with Taylor, in comparison to other artists, but, I just have to say you are doing a great job of picking up what she's putting down. Great reaction! In ready for it, I interpreted the 'light' taylor as being the old, innocent one. She's trapped inside a box because for a year she's been hiding from the public eye. The Kanye and Kim drama over his song 'famous' led to her basically being cancelled. A year later, reputation was released (Google the drama if you don't know, there's tons of videos with timelines). In this music video, we see old taylor naked, as she was in the famous music video. Except, she's made of metal. Either because it's not the real Taylor, just like in famous just a statue of her was used, or because reputation dark taylor has been altering original taylor to harden her, make her skin a metal shield, give her weapons to protect herself. Then taylor gets out of her cage with a massive electric storm she brought with her, wreaking havoc. She's original Taylor. The one in black is literally her reputation, trying to change who Taylor really is. So when she emerges from her confinement, bringing a storm with her, she shreds her reputation. Destroys it to build something new. But she's irrevocably changed. Her reputation has had an impact on her. The old Taylor is dead, as os her reputation. We don't know what this new Taylor will bring to the table. And we're not ready for it.

okay honestly,as a swiftie myself,i can barely figure out what the "...Ready For It?" music video is about but as far as im concerned i think its about destroying her old self and rebuilding a new her because at the end one of the 2 Taylor's gets destroyed while the other one stays so i think thats what it is.And incase you didnt know,the album Reputation is a comeback album that Taylor made after disappearing from the public view for one year because of the beef between her, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. the beef:At the 2009 VMAs Taylor was receiving a VMA and suddenly Kanye stepped on stage and interrupted her and said that Beyoncé had one of the best music videos of all time and then went back to his seat.So fast forward a few years later he made a song called "Famous" about Taylor in which he included an AI made picture of Taylor's n*ked body and he said that he asked Taylor if he could mention like a part of lyrics in his song and Taylor agreed to that but after the song came out Taylor said that he only gave her a part of the lyrics and not the whole thing so after this Kim edited a fake phone call to make it look like Taylor did actually agree to this and she(Kim) started calling her(Taylor) a snake and everyone was calling her that as well and the hashtag "TaylorSwiftIsOverParty" was number 1 trending on Twitter so she deleted all her posts on social media and disappeared from public view therefore making Reputation her comeback album and that album is symbolized by a snake because everyone was calling her a snake back then. im sorry this is really long but i feel like you deserve an actual explanation😅but i hope you understood what i meant,i love your Taylor reactions and i cant wait for her other album reactions to come out!!Thank you for taking a part of your time to listen to Taylor albums!!❤

Reputation is so underrated and I will never forgive people back in 2017 for treating this album like trash it’s like how TTPD is getting hate in 2024 it’s the same hate both albums are so underrated!! Taylor is not a dancer and she admits that and we love her for it. 😂 This album is very dark/light. She left the public eye for a year because of the Kim/Kanye drama and everyone coming after her. But during that time she was also falling in love with the guy she was with for 6+ years. So its a pissed off album where shes also head over heals in love. Its truly iconic.
