I was at Tree Sound in Atlanta recording a record in the late 90’s. I had just been gifted an 1842 Schoedenfelder fiddle that sounded amazing. I didn’t play it on the record. But during one of the breaks I was in the large foyer between the studio A lounge and Studio A where we were working. I was crazy wailing on that fiddle high as i’d ever been when of the sudden the classic highschool style door kachunked open at the top of the stairs to the second floor. I looked up and saw four or five folks, several beautiful ladies and a dude with them. I knew Tree Sound was a hub for hip Hop in Atlanta but really wasn’t very well versed in the culture and what not though I did have, and still do have a ton of respect for the music. I could tell the guy was probably someone I would have recognized if I had been more plugged in. I didn’t think twice about it at all though and just kept playing. As they got down to the bottom of the stairs where I had been playing with my foot on the first step, I backed up to let them by while still making noise. He stopped and said “Whooooaaaaa man…that’s some crayzeeee ass sliding. How you do that.” I said like this…and played the slidiest double stops i could muster just to demonstrate/. Hee said “mans that shits crayzee. How are you making two notes slide like that?” I stuck the finger board closer to his face and leant down a bit so he could see. He asked me if he could hold it. And handed it to him with a few pointers after he asked me how it worked. He actually made it sound pretty good. It really freaked him out in a sweet way. We were all just Kids at Art. He handed it back and thanked me and they were off. Paul Diaz, the proprietor and good buddy for more years than I wanna re-see said “you know who that was don’t you?” I didn’t. When he told me Big Boi i knew who he was by name and reputation musically. But it was his vibe and totally open enthusiasm and curiosity that made me dig into the Outcast catalogue. I’m a fan. Shout to Big Boi. I know there’s gonna be a time when I can remind him of that. There’s no way in hell he has forgotten it….or maybe that’s just me. Either way, or both, Love(v) and sweetness to each and all.

I'll never forget when I tried shrooms for the first time. National geographic was on when it first kicked in and it was a bit on Koala bears and I started looking closer and it looked like guys in suits lmao they just looked so fake and then of course the adventure begins after that. Only thing I don't like about shrooms is it lasting so damn long. You're bound to be very uncomfortable at some points

In our college dorm there was this little hidden room on the top floor where we would we would smoke our green. Named it the dungeon as an ode to OutKast. Now 20 years later I find out the dungeon was actually their bathroom, dropping hooks and dooks at the same time.

I've shroomed 130 times at high dose. I used to buy Cubensis in California. I moved up to Washington State Puget Sound and almost no one buys shrooms. Hardly at all. Almost everyone picks them. I learned how to ID and hunt for them.

I found a lot of Psilocybe Pelliculosa growing in the deep forest in a State Park. I made other, smaller finds in other places, of other species. I've been sober since 2002! Almost everyone who is sane stopped getting high. Even too much Ganja is too much! True Story.

You are correct. Grew up and graduated High School in the Central District of Seattle. I learned how to ID and spot / pick Cyanescens at 17 😂 I have lived in Brooklyn NY for the last 8 years but sure I could find some of my old patches around South Seattle.
