I don’t understand why the DA still gave him a deal when he didn’t complete the deal? He didn’t locate her body so her children still don’t have closure. Sounds like the DA was scared to bring the case to trial. Just because there is no body? You have His sons testifying that they heard their dad shoot Tammy. Then you have the dash cam video of Grier confessing to killing Tammy and his brother also heard the same story. Sounds like a very good circumstantial case against Grier.

This is so sad. She became an exotic dancer, left her family for a man she met in a strip club, left her own children to go live with this man and his kids an hour away from her own, and then this man she gave up everyone for ends up murdering her. Terrible end. Her daughter seems so sweet. I’m glad she helped bring the family closure, although the justice system did fail with this one. Btw: I’m in no way indicating Tammy deserved this. I’m hopeful another lady will hear her story and make better decisions if they end up in a similar situation. Remember Tammy.

Dearest Niki,I have lived 80 years. Believe me when I tell you your mothers soul left her body the second she died. She went straight to God. The bodies are just images of the loved one. My parents and my darling husband were cremated. Just ashes. Try and let go. Release your mothers soul from grieving for you. Live the life you know would make her happy. Time is short . You will be with your darling mother again before you know it. Don’t waste the life she gave you. Be happy with the time you have left. ❤❤❤❤❤

Agreed. They know what happened and who did it. They also know that her body will most likely never be found. It is time for them to accept that. If they don't accept it, their lives are stuck in despair. They are still giving that murderer power and control over their lives if they don't move on. 😢

Greer played all of them like a fiddle. He knew exactly what he was doing. Tammy and her family got zero justice. Sad indeed. RIP 😢
@eviehammond9509
@eviehammond9509 15 күн бұрын
The justice system failed Tammy & her loved ones from the start. They had a murderer in custody who was released after he admitted to killing Tammy. In his home they found bullet holes & blood spatter and he was allowed to walk free. Then after multiple years of searching for him they finally find him in Mexico. And he's offered a plea deal? All that evidence and 17 years of searching at the tax payers expense they offer a plea deal of a lesser charge of manslaughter if he tells them where Tammy's remain are & he agrees. Yet they still cannot locate her remains & the plea deal is still honored. WTF is wrong with our judicial system is a HUGE understatement in this case & so many more. Science & technology may produce many effective advancements as time passes, but until our judicial system gets a complete overhaul all we can look forward to is more of the same. A system that seemingly operates in favor of criminals as the priority & of victims as nothing more than an after thought.

This entire story is heartbreaking and a travesty of justice. The murderer went to his sister where he confessed to doing something horrible and she gave him money to start a new life, but she didn't call the police. He confessed to his half brother who took him to a truck stop and dropped him off but didn't call the police. He left his two sons behind who went for holiday visit with their mother and they kept quiet for 11 days before speaking up when they found out she was taking them back to him. The mother did the right thing by taking them to the police and I can only imagine what these children witnessed and the threats they received. I hope they received counseling. Then the plea deal that never should have happened. I admire the tenacity of the victim's daughter and the marshalls. The remaining law and legal system let that entire family down.

Years ago when I was a prosecutor, those of us in the felony division could take anything we wanted to trial. If the elements of the crime could be proven beyond a reasonable doubt, we went to trial. It does not seem that this would be an exorbitantly expensive trial such that a loss would have endangered the re-election of the District Attorney. I am so disappointed in the ADA.

The most important aspect of this is that the deputies were aware of his actions and went as far as identifying him as being on meth. He is half naked, hiding in a pile of brush, smoking like a man who can’t breathe w/o tar in his lungs and confessed to the crime of looking into her eyes and watching her die! Deputy’s need to be held accountable for key points! 1. Suspicious activity (truck running and sitting in a strange spot) 2. Bizarre behavior (jittery-smoking-nonchalant attitude) 3. CONFESSION (TELLING THE DEPUTY OF THE CRIME) How do we make any sense of this case?

It’s a damn shame how a woman will leave her loving husband, ruin the lives of her children, [in many cases alienate the children from their loving father simply out of spite] and destroy her entire family in a HEARTBEAT-all without a seconds thought, just for the love of a man with a little extra money! Money is not the thing that’s going to bring you happiness, because peace and happiness, real love and true joy isn’t of this world, it comes from above; so “seek first the Kingdom of Heaven, and all those things will be added unto you.”

So many criticisms of Tammy. She was young and from a small town. Naive and life lessons not yet learned. Every one of us has made our share of mistakes. Most of us are lucky enough to learn from them and become better people. She was planning to leave Greer and go back to her ex. She wanted to right the wrongs. She deserves credit for that. Her own daughter and ex-husband are able to love and forgive her mistakes. And you people can't? Geesh.
