I think weekly vlogs should only be necessary for first drafts. Take your time and focus on the revision before updating us, we understand! We also understand the busy booktube life and getting sick which everyone is getting sick anyways so there's that. Take your time and I'm excited for the book to eventually be published!!

KAT IS BACK AND WITH A NEW HAIR STYLE (which I am loving by the way). I have missed these! 😭😭😭 Your book will be amazing and I LOVE that you're showing how deadlines DO get pushed back and revisions DO take a longer time than originally anticipated. It's so much more relatable to me personally than someone who can do a whole book and revisions in a few months. Also- def not a failure. Writing a book takes a long time❤️ Side note: that trophy wall is lookin pretty sweet at this point. :)

Oh my gosh, EVERYTHING you are sharing is EXACTLY where I am and how I feel too! I’m stuck editing in the messy middle, meant to make it to submit to AMM this past round but didn’t, but hoping to be ready for betas in a few months... but I’m trying to remember that I still made a TON of progress that I probably wouldn’t have if I didn’t have a deadline so I’m pressing forward and seeing “failure” as a teaching moment for sure. We can do this tho!! Good luck!!

I didn't achieve my editing goals for February, I'm at the ending scenes of my book and I find editing those scenes can be sooo difficult. Everything is coming together and all the stuffs is going down, but you know what it's all good! You're so spot on about not rushing, there's no way to force editing! I've been going easy on myself and trying to set some more reasonable goals for myself, my current goal is to have Draft 4 done by the end of March, we'll see how that goes haha! Editing is a wonderfully challenging process! Good luck!

(I'm a water sign it's okay) Writing is hard, and hard deadlines are real tough when writing is a very fluid thing: some days you have all the words in the world in you, and others you barely get a page out. Yeaahhh, I feel the same way. I had a revision deadline of March 2nd, but then I was sick for two weeks, my laptop was broken for a week, I had a guest staying.... and the goal kind of collapsed before my eyes. I've been sneakily ignoring my revisions since then and gearing up to draft something new in April. But I'm going to get back to the revisions. Imminently. Like, right now.

You got to 40%! That's 40% closer than you were when you started! I don't mean to sound patronising, because that's genuinely a great achievement. I'm so bad when I set myself goals because if I don't think I'll hit the date I set then I'll just give up, which is terrible because then I don't get any progress. Writing is definitely a marathon and not a sprint, so just because you know you won't get first place doesn't mean you should stop running. That's what I always need to tell myself, and that's why I think it's great that you've got to 40% ^_^

Writing is a creative process...you didn't fail. Don't be so hard on yourself. You can't rush or force the greatness muse. It takes time for your characters to speak to you and for all your sentences and chapters to all feel right to you. It doesn't matter how long it takes for you to write your baby, it breathes a life and course all its own. It's going to be a beautiful reflection of all your creativity, time, dedication and unwavering hard work when it's done and we will all be happy you shared your talent with the world. If you know the first half was wjat is seemed a favorite and took two months why wpuld you only give yourself a month or two? You get overwhelemed and stop progessing when you arent close to a deadline so why give yourself one at all? This is just my thoughts and I hope it makes sense and doesnt sound really mean, I had the same problwm with reading but then jist stopped trying to force myself to do it by a certain date.
