The missions are very repetitive plus Deadpool is just a comedy character in this game, and while he is supposed to be humorous he’s also a tragic character which this game doesn’t acknowledge. Plus you can’t even use alternate costumes in the main campaign that’s wack.

That’s literally the point right there since you don’t know the comics you don’t understand the heat but the heat is from the fact that this game doesn’t really represent the character well. Deadpool actually has a whole lore and missiles surrounding his character and he’s a really deep written character his story is about a traumatized person becoming an abuser for learning to become better and he would joke and make pretty funny jokes to kind of cope with his pain he also had a dark sense of humor. In this game he’s just straight up jokes and even then the humor that he has in this game doesn’t really fit him sometimes it does but the chimichanga 2010 meme stuff doesn’t really fit him he’s more like a Looney Tunes clever humor type of dude with a raspy voice.

In that generation a typical AAA game was a 20 million dollar affair. Even with an absolutely ridiculous licensing fee and marketing campaign there's just no way they invested 100 million in a (then) unproven franchise. Another channel, I can't remember which one off the top of my head, tried to find the source of that claim but it appears it was either made up or lost to time despite us being firmly in the internet era. Good video.

Strange how a game portraying the so-called "negatives" for the entertainment factor is universally praised in the movie counterparts. It was a criminally underrated game unfairly reviewed for the most part and the negative relating to repettiive gameplay, lack of enemy variety, etc. Should only have had a couple of points deducted from what was - and still is - a really enjoyable (albeit short) game. Given the insane mark-up on the game, I actually think a deadpool game made today would be quite successful, given how Ryan Reynolds has breathed life into an IP that hadn't seen the screen previously - wolverine movie/ game not withstanding if you consider competent exicution of the character. Yes, we would like the character to have more depth universally, but it isn't necessarily a bad thing. I think the movies got closer, but there's still time if any sequels are to be made after the 3rd movie.

Played this back on the PS3 and loved it. When it came out on PS4 I’m glad I bought it physically and it is so much fun. It is a great game to me, the cutscenes are the highlight. Yes the gameplay can be a rinse and repeat but it is the fun repeat that that is cool to me.

I completely agree I think that the game is really funny and it actually has fun gameplay but at times there are parts where Deadpool is completely cringe and out of character and I hate it like the forceful cringe trying to relate to the kids crap and him acting like P. Diddy n stuff but aside from the kid story and crappy side characters, it’s not a bad game I still stick with ultimate alliance for the Definitive Deadpool experience though, plus John Kassir as Deadpool >>>>>

I beat it yesterday and I had a lot of fun. I play a lot of “serious” games and this was a lot of fun and change of pace. I don’t like how this was written by Daniel because I feel like he kinda ruined Deadpool. BUT It was really goofy for a quick game and gives you that Deadpool kick that a lot are looking for. Is it the greatest? No. But you if you’re looking for a fun time, definitely is something you should play!

i just wanna start this off with this isn't me attacking his points. this is just my own opinion on some of the stuff that i felt like i wanted to express in this video. everyone has their own opinion and i respect it Personally i don't mind this version of deadpool. and i don't really think the jokes went stale or too over the top at any means cuz that's what this version of deadpool is. i get if it's not to ur cup of tea but it just felt like u were saying it as a negative towards the game where i don't really think it is. the game fits this deadpool and i don't think everything needs to have a deep reason. this game is over the top funny just because it is and i don't mind that. especially because it's a short game. I think it makes sense that his clothes regen too since its apart of his silliness. And since the game is basically a joke i dont think it needed a climactic battle Honestly gameplay feels fun. Since it's short i dont mind any of its flaws. but i did wanna say u can say the same thing with any other game with it being the same thing. shooters? u just point and shoot. turn based? use enemy weaknesses. everything can be applied to that. but it's how u use the stuff. like this game. since shotguns and started sword is good u didn't feel like u needed to switch to anything else or use anything else. but u could have. it's just about how u play. that's why i like hack and slash because it gives u a wide range of things. it only becomes boring when u just use the easy option. which i get why but i was just saying Overall love the game. Sucks it had to be delisted especially cuz of dlc we can't get anymore.

The game is fun and made that character popular. It’s just too bad it represents Deadpool terribly, lacks a story and they somehow make the side characters exposition dumpers with no personality. Stick with Ultimate Alliance 1 & 2 if you want an accurate Deadpool. For better gameplay, I’d say this game.
