The mutants have been in "civil war" for 90% of their existence. Only a handful of times have they been somewhat united. But their status quo has been the X-Men versus the Brotherhood of Mutants, and most mutants take one side or the other at any given time. Also, that's not a clover on Dr. Stasis' forehead. It's a club suit symbol. As in diamonds, clubs, hearts, and spades playing/poker cards. Makes you wonder if we'll see the other two suits crop up at some point.

You're forgetting comics. Everything goes back to the status quo. That means this Clubs clone was created by the original Essex to think he's the original. Keep in mind that Essex is one, if not the, most two-faced characters in Marvel. Any time he's allied himself with anyone he always had other motivations and hidden agendas. It's just the root of his character. It's also worth noting that the future of Earth is a world dominated by Homo novissima (post-humans). What we don't know is how all that started but if you know Essex's main obsession then you know the idea of being the creator of the species that is superior to humans and mutants is irresistible. Therefore playing both sides against each other is the perfect way to escalate the conflict and get support for post-human research.

Benefit of adamantium bones as a wolverine: indestructible fulcrum for leveraging muscle mass. Muscle flexing is a process of healing and tearing fibers, which would only be heightened by regeneration. However, at some point the force of the muscles would begin to fracture the bones they connect to, limiting overall strength.

15:30 wait, doesn't Logan's skeleton make him like a hundred pounds heavier than he'd be otherwise? Wouldn't giving Laura adamantium bones require her to almost re-learn how to fight? I don't doubt she has the strength to manage the extra mass for normal moving about but that's not the same as fighting effectively with double your previous weight.

I didn't think of that but I was also wondering how this interacts with her healing factor? Is hers as strong as Logan's? Maybe she can't be snapped like a twig by most people, but she'll probably heal more slowly now too...

@@Dreforian Her healing factor pre coating was slightly weaker then Logans. Logan can basically heal from getting disembowled in seconds. Laura iirc takes full minutes to do the same. But shes about as equally hard as wolverine is. Even if shes blown to bits, she can hang on to life about as long as logan can. Remember though with the resurrection protocols, the adamantium coating both Laura and Wolverine receive is much thinner then the weapons plus coating is on logan. As the coating they receive is through matter manipulation, not sloppy metal injections. The amount of adamantium krakoa has access to is only a very small block. And they've already sent 20 or so fully coated wolverines to die on orchis. So the coating is definitely several nanometers thick. Which is really all adamantium ever needed to have its full durability. Their powers are also grafted onto them. and they can be modified (strengthened, weakened, or outright removed) during resurrection protocols. So its fair to say that while if we take into consideration how *normal* comics history should work, Laura should be dramatically weakened by the new coat of paint on her bones, in reality with the magic properties of the resurrection protocols, none of that logical weakness applies anymore. Laura is a lot tougher physically now, but with the Resurrection protocols (as shes currently revived) she has Logans full adamantium skeleton with almost none of the expected downsides. Her healing factor is still much weaker then logans though. That never changed, However considering her skeleton was a mistake, and adamantium is a very precious commodity to them. If shes resurrected again she will likely only go back to her normal skeleton. As the orchis suicide missions probably used their store of adamantium up.

So when it comes to the emotional manipulation of krakoa they should have taken into the character of Empath. While he was left as a shattered person at the end of Hellions he had the capability to override Modok’s invasion. It would have been a great redemption for the character. As we learned he’s struggling with his own upbringing and his own illness where his x gene was unlocked earlier than him learning to be a normal person. And his background as Emma Frosts favorite student due to his potential.

They're obviously setting Synch up to be a plot device somewhere down the road here because there's really no need to be expanding his abilities unless they need him to do something essential to the story which was originally beyond the scope of what he used to be limited to.

I think they're just trying to make mutants in general a lot more powerful than they used to be. That seems to be a general trend in the new phase of mutants: make them as powerful as possible, then make their enemies even more powerful.

Most did not, and those who did weren't really allowed to use the full extent of their power for one reason or another except when facing similarly powerful threats. Now, most threats that the mutants face are extremely powerful, so the writers are free to use the most powerful mutants as often as they like without nerfing them, and to expand their powers if they wish. So that's what they're doing. At least, that's what I think.

How would Sinister's clone be able to get onto Krakoa? If the real Sinister could not enter Krakoan gates because he isn't a mutant, then he would have had to be specifically allowed permission. Does that mean that Sinister's clone has an X-gene? Because at the end of HOX, Sinister arrives at Krakoa through a gate, along with Exodus, Gorgon, Apocalypse, etc. Did Xavier and Magneto just open the gates temporarily for those guys to come through at the end of HOX?

There is going to be 4 total (technically different) Nathaniel Essex’s eventually, the most known one with the red diamond on forehead, new Essex with the black club (see cause they’re both playing card symbols) it leads me to believe that the 3rd and 4th versions we will be introduced to later will have the red heart and the black spade. He's been Omega even back in Gen X days. In my opinion... Emma Frost has always kept an eye on him. Honestly, the whole team was pretty bonkers if they had time to fine tune everyone. You had Chamber, who was a walking psionic reactor and carries the bloodline of Apocalypse. Husk, who could peel herself and be whoever and heal herself. They even hinted that she could mimic their abilities to a certain degree. M, who literally was just the perfect She-Hulk without the form, with a 2nd side called Penance. Think of Emma Frost diamond form and Lady Deathrstrike. There was a moment she froze in public and they stated it would take the Hulk to move her. Mondo(clone/spy), basically he controlled earth and natured. He was originally killed off... but hes now on Krakoa, which makes sense. Then there was Skin... he was cool. Jubilee... Emma Frost stated, "has the potential to detonate matter at a sub-atomic level". She could blow up planets... Where was she at during the Incursions...?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that's not a clover. That's a club. That's freaking terrifying. That means there's a multitude of clones. Hither to unknown. Each with it's own classification. Clubs ♣️, Hearts ♥️, Diamonds ♦️ and Spades♠️. And we've only ever seen (managed to catch) the "king" of Diamonds. A lil bit kitchy or cliche but a damn interesting plot twist if there was one.

I had a similar question about how Wolverine resurrected with an adamantium skeleton. The Proteus explanation makes sense. The only thing I don't like the idea of having adamantium in the body is that Magneto can easily defeat those kind of mutants including Wolverine.

I have been loving the Sync love in the comics and hope they keep it up. He is amazing and been so interesting in this run. He is a better stronger version of Hope it is just that simple. Later one you will see him sync with other Omega level mutants and use their powers on the Omega level scale moments after doing it. And when you think of it that would make him a walking X-god seeing how he could do anything. That isn't even counting if he ever had to fight non mutants and get even more powers as well. And the one thing about this can be fixed by getting one mutants powers and then he would have no limit to what he can do.

Synch is not Omega level, he is not more powerful then Hope, hope takes people's power and uses it at 200% while Sych can use your power at 100% with very little training

@@dragan404 but that is only looking at the one thing Hope can do. Sync can still use a Omega level power instantly. He can store multiple ones at a time. He can Sync from farther away than Hope. And biggest of all he can Sync with non mutants as well. Something Hope can't do. In my eyes and many others He is Omega. Just because he doesn't have that one aspect as Hope doesn't discredit what he has

Mr Sinister is the same as The Hulk and Spider-Man: A Mutate. An individual who was mutated, not an individual who was born as a mutant.
