How much materials you want to press in a 7 minute video? Or you only want to hear your perspective? The hateful, unforgiving, ignorant version of the “truth”? Many people got death penalty even without committing the crime they were accused of. Many times they got it for self defence. Many times circumstances were just too cruel to get out without killing someone. Not to mention someone mental state, which certainly not your special field of interest. So don’t come here with this self righteous BS!

This sister shows so much compassion and empathy as she says! It is wonderful that she is given 40+ years of her life to these 18 inmates, is it come on death row in Singapore?! What a wonderful woman to do this! To work with these people to help them to come to an understanding of perhaps what they have done and perhaps a knowledge of the gospel and of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father.. and to teach them forgiveness and repentance perhaps. Hopefully…
@timothykwoh61724 жыл бұрын
This is true compassion. Instead of pushing for clemency for criminals, she is doing the most compassionate thing. Preparing the souls to meet God with a conscience cleared and forgiven by God is better than anything the world can offer. From a biblical perspective, the repentant thief on the cross next to Christ rebuked the unrepentant thief nearby saying: "Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds:..." (Luke 23:40-41). But in reference to Christ, the repentant thief admitted: "...but this man hath done nothing amiss." (Luke 23:41). This same repentant thief then turns to Christ and states: "Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom." (Luke 23:42). Christ thus answers based on his repentance and faith in Him: "Verily I say unto thee, to day shalt thou be with me in paradise." (Luke 23:43). Christ is the Embodiement of Compassion, and rather than offer some clemency on earth, rewards the repentant thief with something far greater: a forgiven soul and eternal bliss. Let us learn that a true compassionate approach to criminals guilty of death is not to appeal for clemency but rather to prepare their souls to meet Christ and to spend eternity with Him. That is mercy enough.

You are absolutely correct. But the issue is a moral one: which is better - an eye for an eye or forgiveness. It took a long time in human history to accept the superiority of the second limb of the moral dilemma. In all these cases, the State being the aggrieved party as per the accepted notion of jurisprudence exacts tooth for tooth by hanging the culprit. But it requires much more moral strength on the part of relatives of the victims to forgive. The nun is not indifferent to the sufferings of the relatives of the victims. She only enables the condemned to go through the ordeal.
