It's understandable as we have a 3rd world government that does not understand 1st world business, science and technology so to be able to successfully manage and maintain roads. This is why it's essential that the private sector should form partnerships with government to manage SOEs restoring them back to acceptable standards enabling the people to enjoy an acceptable standard of living.

Just because we have a bad president doesn't mean we should trust private sectors more than our system. We should change the president and leave everything state owned just like how they do in USA,Britain, France and Germany.

@@wahwah7701 The problem is not just the president I heard on the radio about 3 months ago that 60% of municipal managers are not qualified to be in those positions . You talk about Britain USA France Germany in these countries its not Goverment that build infrastructure Goverment puts out tenders and private companies bid for the work even most maintenance is done by private sector paid for of course with tax revenue Goverment is inefficient and not cost effective. The problem with SA in corruption and uncountabelity and the uneducated voters that keep the corrupt Local and National government in office . Why do you think that although Cape Town has its issues it much better run than any other city or province In SA.

One of the contributing factor to this mess is this the ANC does not want to implement by laws this happens in every city and town in this country the solution lies in 2024 let's go and vote these people out.

Move away from Political Party governance and put in place leaders that will be accountable to the people and our justice system. SA will continue to decay as long as party politics are at the center of it.

You really need to respect some of the construction in South Africa. If something was built 50 - 100 years ago and is ONLY breaking down now after lets say 20-30 years of no maintenance...imagine where it would be like with a little tlc! This should be in construction textbooks worldwide!
@rockpadstudios

I was thinking the same thing. Whites built a fantastic infrastructure, blacks of course are letting it crumble. I heard that the black culture doesn't understand preventative maintenance and as a culture they think it is a waste of time.

@@wernerhasse442 I understand your point . but , Crime is a national issue in South africa . It became a mentality and cultural thing in south africa for all races. as citizens looking at government and adopting the same pattern of behavior. Infrastructure , maintenance , governance etc.... CPT leading by far . Come visit sandton . once been the richest hub of all africa . Looks disaster and deteriorating fast . People must unit and get together and put things straight . They are dividing us by purpose as it's the only way they can maintain power on us. Divide and conquer.
