Mankind has long been fascinated by achieving new heights. It’s literally a cliche statement that we’ll make. We look to the stars, we seek to rise above, we jump hurdles. But it’s worth noting there are plenty of things to find when we look down deep down. There are some remarkably deep places on Earth that plumb the depths of the world around us.

I live in Timmins!! We call it Kidd Creek Mine. I know so many people who work there, but I've only been on site once. SO COOL to be featured on this list!! They used to keep bison on the property to prove that it was safe... but many people believe they would change out the bison as they died from all the chemicals used in the processing.

0:53 Gotta love the way that whenever distances and the like are dumbed-down to the lowest level, i.e. not stated in actual units of measurement but instead likened to something, they're always translated into terms that are only really meaningful to Americans, e.g. it's X many Statues of Liberty deep, or it's X many football pitches long, or it's the distance from New York to Pittsburgh, etc. I'm sure it's just a coincidence (wink)
