I 1000% believe that Delia is telling the truth. In fact, it says EVERYTHING that she ghosted the internet for like 10 years- if she had really been writing the blog, she probably would have valued her followers and her “fame” would have meant something to her. She probably would have gone right on her blog immediately to update her fans and try to tell them her “story” to get them to believe and support her. It was also a large source of income for her, so if it had been her blog to begin with, she probably would’ve wanted to keep it up. Instead, it seems as though she abandoned the blog because it wasn’t even hers to begin with and it probably made her sick to look at. The fact that she shut down and didn’t turn to the internet to explain herself is textbook trauma-victim behavior. Anyone who suffered the kind of trauma she had would probably want to fall off the face of the earth and keep away from the thing and the people that associate with her old life of torture and abuse. We gotta believe victims!!

So many good points! I 100% agree with you. Also if it was their lifestyle that they both got off on & they were both equally as into it as the other & they were married/in love with one another what would be the point of her shooting & killing her husband & destroying their life, taking away their form of income (blog), killing her children's father etc etc. Occams razor...

My heart goes out to her. Imagine being a literal slave to someone who was supposed to love you. Honestly, good for her that she finally ended it for good, because had she not and had she just tried to leave him, she probably would have been the one who ended up dead. People who are capable of the level of evil he attained are capable of anything.

@@alittlesealgirl I understand that, I really do. I've had some bad experiences myself cause the amount of abusers who get into the community and prey on others. Though as a dom i've mostly had issues with subs. I'm what I like to call a soft dom, I'm not much into the SM part as I prefer to use bondage and dominance with lots of affection. I prefer to have a beloved pet rather than a slave but some subs think that they can push past those limits or force the issue even when I've explained that I do not want to do that and have remained stead fast about that position. I had one guy once he realized I was serious about where my lines where and how I prefered to play and be dominate get pretty emotionally manipulative and started talking down to me about how I couldn't be a real dom of I didn't do xyz or started making comments about my body that hurt me. I know that's not the same cause I was in a different position, but we in the community have to be more vigilant about abusers and those who don't want to take others feelings into account or listen when limits and do's and don't are being dicusses rather than thinking they can just break those limits.

@denaturner88715 жыл бұрын
Samantha Burns there are pockets of the USA that still use words that harken back to our forefathers, keeping various aspects of the original English vernacular. Now, I have no.clue where this all went down (I must have missed it in the video prior to writing this) but it is a possibility that he and/or they were from an area that still uses some of that language... maybe? If you think about it, you can pinpoint some of those areas. For instance in the use of the word fellow, many areas of the American south, and heavier so along the south eastern coast (mid to southern atlantic coast more specifically) will say fellow in speaking however it is said with the colloquial accents and pronounced either fella or feller but would be written correctly. Just throwing this out there. I want to add the disclaimer that I am in no way a language scholar just a nerd from the midwest (in a lower accented state) that has worked in many different call center settings speaking to people all over the country so I am only going on personal *ear witness account.

As stated in other comments, if it really was a cover-up for her simply killing him, she’d value the notoriety she’d been receiving prior to the murder, and would have posted about the story right away to gain even more fame and keep the blog going. As far as the writing styles changing over time, she left the Internet completely for ten years. Since the site was shut down, she’d have no way of going back to look at the writing styles in order to change the way it looked when she finally came back to tell her story. Sure, one could remember certain characteristics in their typing, but there are so many differences, I feel she couldn’t have remembered every possible detail. Especially after ten years. I can barely recall my personal writing characteristics from two years ago, never mind ten.

If it wasn’t self defense and she was trying to get away with murder, I can’t see a reason why she’d go to the extent of starting a new blog and consciously changing her writing style in the hopes that people would look far enough into the case to take that as some sort of evidence if she was already exonerated in the killing of her husband. Like if she really did just want to kill him and spun this whole story to get away with it, why wouldn’t she just start a new life once she got away with it, why would she take the time to write a new blog explaining the relationship between her and husband unless she was being honest and telling a cautionary tale? Does that make sense or am I just rambling nonsense
@omfgaufo5 жыл бұрын
Maddie Byrne I disagree with what you’re saying but for all be exact same reasons! She was found not-guilty, she was totally exonerated, why would she come back and further try to defend herself if she had already got away with it? To have to change her writing style and remember every detail (which if you’re right are lies. it’s a lot easier to recount a story if you’re telling the truth.) Why would she go to the effort of consciously changing her writing style when she has to no reason to. She got away scot free, she has no reason to turn up and further defend herself, i i believe she wrote the blog post to try and stop what happened to her, happening to other people.

8bitcait no I totally agree, I think you might’ve misinterpreted my post (I apologize it was a little rambley lol) I was trying to say exactly what you just said, I think the only thing that makes sense is that she’s telling the truth, because if she was lying why go to the trouble of starting a new blog to try and claim your innocence when you’ve already been proven innocent

I had the same thought. As well as she had no motive other than just to get out of the relationship. She wouldn't have known that the self defense excuse would work and clearly there was no new Romeo that she ran away with or large amounts of money on an insurance policy. If it was just to get away with murder it would have been far too risky. I'm convinced it was an abusive relationship.

I’m sobbing such happy tears at your statement about the difference between BDSM and manipulative relationships where BDSM is used as an excuse for abuse. Thank you so much for that! Honestly I wish I’d heard it when I was still in a similar situation, and I hope it helps someone who’s currently still stuck in a manipulated mindset. I was in a very toxic relationship for most of my twenties; I’m 29 right now - I left him when I was 27 and we moved in together when we were 21. Sometimes I stayed because it was comfortable, sometimes I stayed because I felt like I owed him loyalty, sometimes I stayed because I have disabilities and I believed him when he said no one else would want me, sometimes I stayed because I didn’t know anyone else anymore after being isolated and I liked when he hung out with me, and sometimes I stayed because he blackmailed me with the photos and such that he had of me. Now I live in a beautiful loving relationship with a man who’s also in a wheelchair and is endlessly kind to me. There’s a rainbow after the storm - if you’re stuck in any relationship that makes you feel like less than the radiant person you were meant to be, hang in there and know you CAN start over! By the way, I’m an educated accomplished person. I was the breadwinner the entire 7-8 years I was in that relationship despite him being significantly older than me. I went in public every day and “could have asked for help” if that was something I wanted to do. It can happen to anyone! Don’t judge.

How can labia even hold a bucket of water without tearing? God, if I don't shave for a couple of days my privates becomes irritated and sensitive, I can't imagine having a piercing down there, not to mention the padlock and the bucket of water, it hurts just thinking about that 😭

As a subscriber of yours who is in the bdsm lifestyle i was really keen to see how you would portray the lifestyle. I am so pleased with the way you do it and the way you made it so clear that everything has to be consensual. In fact that is one of the founding principles of the community.

Thank you so much for the disclaimer at the end, it means a lot. Us kinky folk get a lot of shit simply bc some awful people use our lifestyle as an excuse to abuse their partners. I am a submissive and I've known this about myself since I was a young teen (don't worry, I only started participating in the community when I turned 18). I felt like a slut when I first started to discover BDSM and what I liked. There's so much stigma surrounding it and it needs to stop. I think she was abused. I hate that there are these abusers who try and insert themselves into our community. They will NEVER represent BDSM. BDSM relationships are some of the most healthy relationships I've ever come across and if it isn't Safe, Sane and Consensual (the guidelines for BDSM), it isn't BDSM. Full stop, end of story, no arguments. I hope that if she was abused, she's found healing now. She looks happy in the picture at least so that's good. :)

If BDSM people want to be accepted then maybe they shouldn't start with saying how they are better than average people? Like seriously I've never met anyone who didn't allude to this even gently... I get it, no kinkshaming, but in this day an age it should be 'no vanilla shaming'. Who are bdsm people to decide whose relationship is healthier or more intimate? To an outsider it doesn't look healthy or sane or good but we try to accept it because we don't want to offend anyone. In fact to an outsider being faced with things like this can even be deeply traumatising. But we can't talk about that because we have to accept everything nowadays and always be positive.

@@AngelDeed As someone who practices BDSM, do ppl really dp this? I'm legitimately curious because I haven't seen anyone do it, I'm not trying to be passive agressive or anything
@Jewpire4 жыл бұрын
@@AngelDeed BDSM relationships need a lot more trust and communication, much more than regular relationships. It’s not really about kinks and sex, it’s more about the bond and strength of a relationship. D/s relationships tend to be healthier than other relationships because of the boundaries that have been set and multiple talks they have to go through to keep each other safe and comfortable with the relationship.😂 No one in the community (that I know) has ever vanilla-shamed and have even had vanilla sex themselves. BDSM isn’t always 100% rough and kinky.😅😂

Please can you do a video on the killings of serial killer "Samuel Little" who is 78 currently and has allegedly killed over 90 people! I am so interested in this and as you're so talented and put it into such good perspective and detail, i think this could be a good video, with all due respect to the horrificness of this matter. I love your channel btw 🖤🖤

This was perfect! Being occasionally involved in the BDSM community myself, this case really fascinates me, and I've only ever seen one other video on it. The disclaimer at the end was flawless, thank you Eleanor, happy Valentine's Day.

When your collars in the bdsm lifestyle it is out of respect and love for your dominant/master, maybe at one point there was love and willingness, I honestly believe it was self defence, if she was in pain then she had a right to act out, especially if he didn’t respect the safe word or listen to her, bdsm is about trust and you can’t trust a man that hurts you with no sign of pleasure x
@RavenTheRebel5 жыл бұрын
I’m prone to believe her since she doesn’t have much to gain by coming forward. It’s already been ruled self defense. I think she’s lookin for closure, but it is odd that her husband would make a post about his own abusive behavior? What’s that about?

Loving how respectful you can make even this case. You should talk about a local case from Canada of the disappearance of Ryan Shtuka. He literally disappeared into thin air after a party in British Colombia. No known enemies, loved by everyone and then just suddenly gone. His family I still looking for him and I think that such an influential person like you could keep his story in the light. I love your channel and again just how respectful you are of all the cases you cover.
