There was a great singer by the name of Ronnie Dyson, who had an angelic voice. He sung, If You Let Me Make Love to you, Then Why Can't I Touch You. Also, I Just Don't want to be Lonely. His voice would put you in a place of peace and tranquility. Please react to his music.

The baddest vocal group of all time! Marvin Junior has held THAT NOTE for 24, 32, 37 and 47 seconds. These brothers are no joke! The Whispers called them " ... the baddest brothers on the planet" before they outperformed them---the Dells were in their 60s at the time. NO ONE COULD TOUCH THEM IN THEIR PRIME! You have experienced greatness, sir! Be proud. Gratitude. @@@*** Sembene Nathanyahu, author and creator of the future bestseller, "Whisper's Getting Louder" and baritone/2nd tenor lead for the vocal group Black Elegance/the Afrikan Connection, in Chicago ***@@@

Great video and reaction!! It brings me back to one of my favorite concerts: I'm SO glad to have had the pleasure of seeing The (Mighty, Mighty) Dells (and I believe that all the original members were present, along with Blue Magic and The Chi-Lites), at a Mother's Day show at The Newark, NJ Symphony Hall back in the late 1980s. I grew up with their music thanks to what used to be called, "Soul Radio" stations back in the late 1960s and my mom and her mini 8 track "Greatest Hits" tape of theirs. The movie, "The Five Heartbeats" was inspired by their career and The Dells sung on the film's soundtrack as well.

Johnny Carter is the one with the Falcetto voice RIP Marvin Jr is the lead singer with the biggest voice RIP That was when I thought the Heart and Soul was ripped from that group when they both passed ❤️❤️❤️

Anyways! That particular taping, was from Stan Latham. If you never heard that name, his daughter is Sanaa Latham, from Love & Basketball! I’m sure you know that name. Anyways, she is directing, while her father is directing too! At least about the last 4-6yrs. Johnny Carter has won 2 Rock & Roll Awards, 1 under his 1st group, & then The Dells! Well you got your lesson this day & I do LOVE music too!!! Take a listen to some more Dells! “Give Your Baby A Standing Ovation,” “The Love We Had Stays On My Mind.” Oh & by the way, there’s a version by “Dru Hill.” And if you get a chance, listen to some, Luther Van Dross, “A House Is Not A Home.” Well that’s it!!! Keep on keeping on

One of the great groups. The vocal ranges and power of the Dells is unmatched. Suggestion: listen to "I Can Sing a Rainbow".

Just finding your reaction video, and I must say you are reacting to the right one. The Mighty Dells are the God Fathers of R&B. May just stick around to see what else you got.❤️😊

We always address them as The Mighty Dells in the black community because of their different tone of each one and holding a note long.

We had the 45 of this song (shorter version). I have no idea what was on side B. I was 9 years old and still vividly remember listening to that record.

You say you never heard of the Dells, but you do know one of their songs that was featured in a movie. "A Heart is a House For Love." The movie was "The Five Heartbeats."
