My very first job I had, I would almost always purposely take for-freaking-ever during bathroom breaks, changing into and out of my work clothes, and hanging out in the break room while on the clock just so I could "steal" some money back from the company.

Fair, considering how much wage theft goes on lol And that's ignoring the inherent theft of the surplus value of your labor in the first place.

that ex communit is the worst boss remark makes sense in the case of Hayao Miyazaki. Yes, the beloved old man who animates stuff. He became disillusioned from his ideals apperently. I am aware that he also overworked himself along with his employees to make his beloved films.

As far as the same 24 hours - if you are looking for a job with time, I recommend front desk at hotels. Through college that's where I did all my homework, after that I started an Anarcho-Communist blog on the clock, and on company computers. Afternoon and graveyard usually you are the only one there. Just make sure they don't expect front desk to fold laundry 😉.

@50:00 Such a good point about how our experience of capitalism manifests in the regulation of our time--most of us, the working class, are forced to spend most of our time in wage labor or activities connected/related to it, while capitalists have disproportionately more time that is truly free, truly theirs, to dispose of in their sole discretion, because that is very much "part and parcel" with the power they have from the hoards of wealth they've amassed and how that (private wealth accumulation).

Thank Gan for all the leftist educational material on YT....for now. * annoyed sigh* 😂😅
