As an Episcopalian I love the BCP and the Daily Office. The rhythm of the hours are very grounding and was groundbreaking for my spiritual life. Plus it showed me the deep well of richness that is the Psalms. I had a paradigm shift when I heard the psalms where Jesus prayer book.

Hi Chad, this is off topic. But in one of your videos (I can't remember which one) you mentioned you were going to do a deep study on the book of Jeremiah and how that relates to mental health. Or the mental aspects of it. I was just curious how that was going and if it's posted anywhere or if you did a video on it?

Good stuff, gentlemen. I could not agree more that using the Daily Office in the Book of Common Prayer is THE most powerful spiritual formation practice you can embrace. I will somewhat disagree on that particular edition of the BCP. In the words of the Right Reverend Bugs Bunny, one man's meat is another man's poison. That 1979 prayer book is fine and all but, in my opinion, the 1928 American book is superior (and there are tons of larger print options to be found on eBay and everywhere else) and the 1662 BCP is the gold standard (and has a new International Edition with a good sized font). If you like the more modern language of the 1979, the Anglican Church in North America has large print editions of their wonderful 2019 BCP. But ANY of these books will be a great tool to deepen your faith, and instill a pattern of prayer, worship and scripture reading.

From what I understand, the little "Field Guide" for Daily Prayer is really based more off of the 2019 ACNA BCP than I realized.
